Attention fans of Leg 36! The Paysons Run 10k trail race course runs along side the last leg of the SMR, weaving into the Flint Ridge single track trails along the way! This is a challenging course with over 1,200ft of gain.

Race day is October 11 and it starts and finishes at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Head to our website - or see link below for more info!

Welcome back *~old~* friends! We’ve gone through our exchange signs to see who made it through 2024’s relay and who needs some TLC.

Unfortunately exchange 7 sign has had its last relay and we’ll get a new ready for next week! 8 sleeps until SMR 2025.

We checked on Leg 10 of SMR today, otherwise known as 10.5 miles with 3100ft+ descent from the Blue Ridge Parkway! It’s a beautiful trail section that opens up into a steep downhill gravel road.

Don’t forget to download the leg maps before you’re in the middle of the woods. Head to the Race Maps section of the SMR website!
