Every day at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital, we witness resilience in action.
With his permission to share his story, we honor Mike- an Army Veteran whose strength continues to inspire us.
After a double amputation last September, Mike arrived determined to rebuild his life.
“I realized I have to face my life not just for myself, but for my mom, my sons and for the team who believes in me,” he shared.
As he approaches his 50th birthday, Mike is working toward two personal goals: spending time with his sons and returning to the hiking trails he loves. Each step forward in therapy is a step toward both.
With the courage he shows every day, those goals are certainly within reach.

Our CarePartners PACE participants recently enjoyed a magical outing to the North Carolina Arboretum to experience "Trolls: A Field Study," the whimsical Dambo’s Trolls exhibit!
Surrounded by fresh mountain air, beautiful gardens and larger-than-life wooden sculptures, it was a day full of smiles, movement and meaningful connection.
Outings like this do more than create special memories- they support whole-person wellness. Walking the trails encourages physical activity, spending time in nature boosts mood and reduces stress and shared experiences strengthen social bonds.
Staying active and engaged in the community is an important part of healthy aging. We’re so grateful to create opportunities that nurture body, mind and spirit for the seniors we serve.

🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Service 🎉
We are thrilled to recognize Jessica Keller, patient care technician at CarePartners PACE, as she marks 20 years of dedicated service with Mission Health this year.
She began her career at Eckerd Living Center in Highlands, establishing a strong foundation in compassionate, patient-centered care and strong ties to a team that felt more like family that inspired her to stay with the company.
Throughout her two decades of service, Jessica has consistently brought kindness, skill and deep commitment to the individuals and families she supports. Her steady presence and genuine concern for others have made a meaningful difference to both her patients and her colleagues.
We are especially grateful that Jessica has devoted the past five years to the CarePartners PACE program, where she began as an activity assistant before moving into the clinic where she continues to improve the lives of older adults through thoughtful, attentive care.
Jessica is continuing to grow in her career by pursuing her nursing degree with the Galen College of Nursing!
Thank you, Jessica, for the positive impact you make every day. We are honored to celebrate this milestone with you.

❤️ Have you heard of ? It happens when the heart's electrical signals fall out of rhythm, which can lead to an irregular heartbeat and a range of symptoms. Some arrhythmias are harmless, while others may need more attention.
Arrhythmias can affect anyone. If your heartbeat feels a little "off" or you're noticing unusual symptoms, it's best to get it checked out. If you're experiencing chest pain, severe shortness of breath or fainting, seek emergency care right away.
