These AJO concerts are always so fun! Free and open to the public at the same church where W. Asheville Music Together classes are held. Kid friendly- your little ones can dance in the aisles! Except - the jazz orchestra has brass and drums, which can be rather loud in this acoustic space, so bring muffling headphones if you think you or your little one would benefit. They will "pass a hat" at some point to collect donations for local non-profits and public school groups, but no pressure or minimum amount is required.

Please be careful friends! Asheville Area Music Together does NOT sell T-shirts via facebook or any other online format!

There's a new version of an old scam/spam/phishing scheme to be aware of: your musician friend or an artist you follow appears to post a comment on a post of theirs from a while ago with a link to buy T-shirts or other merch BUT (and this is the crucial and fairly nefarious part) it’s not actually them posting. Someone has used their name and profile picture to set up a *page* that looks like their user account and then posted from that page in the comments.

Because it’s comments on a post the true artist actually made, it’s quite easy to assume that they are the one posting the link. It really will look like the artist, and unless you click over to the page and inspect it carefully, it won’t be obvious what’s going on.

Be careful out there!
