I had the joy and privilege of sitting down for a beautiful conversation with my dear colleague, Dr. Regina Druz—an integrative cardiologist whose work I deeply respect.
There are certain conversations that feel more like a meeting of hearts than an interview… and this was one of them.
We explored some of the most important themes I think we are being invited to pay attention to in this season of medicine and life:
✨ The deeper roots of burnout—not just as a workload issue, but as a misalignment of purpose, identity, and nervous system health
✨ The connection between brain health and cardiovascular health—how what nourishes the heart also protects the mind
✨ The importance of lifestyle medicine as a foundation—not an afterthought—for preventing chronic disease and cognitive decline
✨ The role of faith, meaning, and spiritual connection in true healing and wholeness
✨ And the courage it takes to reimagine how we practice medicine in a way that is both sustainable and life-giving
We also shared pieces of our personal journeys—what it has looked like to step outside of conventional models, to build something new, and to pursue a more integrative, whole-person approach to healing.
These are the kinds of conversations that give me so much hope.
Hope that we can create a better way forward—for ourselves, for our patients, and for the future of medicine.
If you feel the weight of burnout…
If you are longing for a more holistic, grounded approach to your health…
Or if you simply enjoy thoughtful conversations about what it means to truly flourish—
I would love for you to listen. 💛
