Kriya Lendzion LCMHC/Teen Whisperer Raising tweens and teens is hard! While keeping our own sanity! Whatever your parenting challenge, I FEEL YA, and I'VE GOT YOUR BACK.

This is a place for info, tools, inspiration & humor to help us guide our kids healthily towards and through adolescence in an increasingly complicated, risky and addictive world. For over 20 years, I've worked with diverse kids from elementary school through young adulthood, in alternative schools for "high-risk youth," juvenile justice, drug and alcohol treatment, middle, high schools and colleges. I've got the earned wisdom and "street certification" of having been a teen addict, as well raising my own bi-racial child as a 100% single mom under tough conditions.

I had a fantastic time attending and presenting for the 1st time at the awesome National Youth Advocacy & Resilience Conference in beautiful Savannah, GA! What a fun and engaged audience! I finally got to meet a mentor - now friend - Crystal Collier (), along with a sea of folks passionate about helping our most vulnerable kiddos thrive.

One of the most inspiring part of things was the inclusion of a youth track, and the opening keynote by a remarkable young woman, Reem Ahmed (.eemahmed) and sister, Rafa.

Speaker Life certainly has its challenges. Traveling, flights, long drives, hotels, suitcase living isn't always glamorous and fun, to be honest. And then I get a gig like the National Peer Program Conference in Orange City Alabama, and get to work with ocean views, see gorgeous sunsets, make friends, sing karaoke, learn valuable stuff, explore a cool town, AND feel like I make a difference. I'm beyond grateful and amazed that I get to do this for a living!

A huge thanks to , Baldwin County Drug Education Council, and Alabama educators for bringing me in and making me feel so welcome!!

"We need students creating things they can touch and solving problems in their own schools and neighborhoods that won’t get fixed unless they are there to do it. We need them grappling with what it means to be human, what it means to be needed, to be necessary."

AI is undermining students’ trust in a shared reality. Here’s how schools can step up.
