A study of more than 11,000 teens found that cannabis users faced an 11-fold increase in the risk of developing a psychotic disorder compared to non-users. Delaying use matters, So does their For those who are using that aren't interested in quitting.

Age of use of today's THC products matter (so does WHAT they're using). The key is delaying use as long as possible into 20's and then avoiding high THC products, lower doses, and products with higher CBD to THC ratios.

Teens have access to vastly more potent cannabis than their parents had at their age. Parents need to understand the risks, including psychosis

I had as much fun as someone can in 3 hrs at the American School Counselor Conference, presenting to a packed house about Counseling Substance-Using Students. It might just be one of my favorite audiences yet. Wow, are these kids and families lucky to have these school counselors in their lives!!!

1/3 of fatal drunk driving accidents and 2/3 of s*xual assaults happen for teens during prom and graduation season.

Research proves that kids are much more likely to navigate dangerous situations safely when they've thought them through beforehand. Let's help our kids do this and keep these memories some of their best ones!
