This Memorial Day, our community gathered to reflect and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

The program in the Williams Center, coordinated by the Givens Estates Veterans Group, featured guest speaker Major General Richard T. Devereaux (Ret.) and a thoughtful presentation on the meaning of Memorial Day, reminding us of the sacrifice behind this day of remembrance.

The Veterans Group also prepared a Missing Veterans Table. Set for one, with an empty chair and symbolic elements like a single rose and an inverted glass, it stood as a powerful tribute to those who never made it home.

The ceremony and this meaningful display reflect the spirit of service and community that defines Givens Estates.

While roughly 6% of the U.S. adult population are veterans, over 10% of residents here at Givens Estates have served. That’s something truly special.
It was a meaningful morning of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
