Swipe for a fun dichotomy👈🏼
One of the things I love about being hired as the photographer for retreats with .casale and , is the opportunity to spend quality time with some of the folks who regularly speak and/or attend.
is one of those peeps, and she has become a close friend, despite the fact that she abandoned Asheville for Indiana 😉
Sure, I’ve gotten some great practice to hone some of my skills, like how to photograph in some of the WORST lighting ever (I’m looking at you red and orange tinted dark 1800s theater in a medieval village in rural Italy). 🇮🇹
But I’ve also gotten to laugh with, dream with, and cry with some amazing folks, who are brilliant entrepreneurs and visionaries, looking to live a different kind of life.
So, when Cindi dreamed of a warrior photo shoot while in Scotland 🏴, in addition to the traditional speaker/business portraits, I didn’t hesitate. DUH
Fun facts from this shoot:
* It was around 10pm (it stays light AF in the summer in Scotland)
* We didn’t totally understand our uber driver, and we went the wrong way. Meaning, up a mountain, for an hour, through brambles, in skirts and, for me, sandals. I may or may not have fallen twice. Cindi may or may not have photos of that. WORTH IT
* turns out the ruins we were looking for were very close to our start. Whatever.
* I put her makeup on as we were driving. Our uber driver was not impressed.
* This was after a full day of speakers and attending a fun drag karaoke event.
Given all of the above, felt this gal needed her own post as I share some of my Scottish faves ♥️♥️♥️
