Out of the Woods Therapy Out of the Woods Therapy provides therapeutic counseling with a specialization in s*x therapy in the community of Asheville, NC

People enter therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it is not required for the therapeutic relationship to last more than a few sessions. Whatever the reason may be that clients come to our office, it is our goal to treat each person with a level of care that honors who they are without fear of judgment or criticism. We consider it a privilege that our clients trust us to the point of allowing themselves to be vulnerable in our presence. Our practice is influenced by intersectional feminism, humanism, and trauma-informed care. Each provider has a unique approach based on their individual personality, training, and background. We all share values of anti-racism, anti-s*xism, anti-homophobia, anti-transphobia, and the belief that there are many ways to form a valid relationship. We see individuals, couples, and those who are ethically nonmonogamous. We are s*x-positive practitioners who appreciate the diversity of the human experience. I know, I know…what a cliché…a therapist account using therapy language…but attachment theory is one of my favorite things to geek out about and I often see so many people getting it wrong - assuming our attachment styles are fixed states or confusing it with a personality trait. It’s more like moments in time and context. These two certainly LOOK like good ambassadors of a securely attached state, but we’d have to talk it out and observe to be sure…🤣
