For each and EVERY Google review we get, we will donate two dollars to a local, non-profit organization. Through September 30, we will be donating to MANNA FoodBank to aid them in their mission to involve, educate, and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina.

Floodwaters from Helene demolished their warehouses, food inventory, equipment, and IT structure making MANNA the first food bank in Feeding America's history to experience a total operational loss. In spite of this devastation, MANNA was immediately involved in emergency distribution centers and continues to support thousands of our neighbors who struggle with food insecurities.

Just ONE patient’s review is the equivalent to EIGHT meals for MANNA FoodBank to help fight hunger in Western North Carolina! Already left us a review? July is UV Safety Awareness Month! Did you know that direct and prolonged indirect exposure from the sun can be just as damaging to your eyes as it can be to your skin? ☀️

Photokeratitis, also known as sunburned eyes, is a painful condition caused by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation that is essentially a sunburn of the clear outer layer of the eye and the membrane covering the white of the eye and inside of the eyelids. Yikes!

Our doctors prescribe specific filters to help you best protect your precious sense of vision including:
🕶️ UV-A and UV-B to help prevent macular degeneration and to slow the progression of cataracts as you age
🕶️ Polarization to reduce blinding glare to keep you safe and comfortable
🕶️ High energy visible (HEV - otherwise known as a blue light filter) which decreases eye strain and also lowers your risk for macular degeneration

Because sunglasses are not regulated, it’s important to note that not all sunglasses are created equally. According to a survey conducted by the American Optometric Association, 47% of consumers do not check UV protection levels before purchasing sunglasses.
