Metabolic dysfunction is so totally unnecessary, yet the driver for something like 8 to 10 leading causes of death. Like, why???
Cases of pure metabolic dysfunction in early stages is one of the easiest things to reverse. Although sometimes made more complicated by other influences such as toxicity (mycotoxins, mercury, estrogen disruptors, etc).
The method to reverse it is relatively simple when implemented correctly. But there is know-how that a lot of people miss that is not part of medical school and won’t be for a long time.

Yep. I’ve had it for years and it continues to teach me a ton. Sometimes the data doesn’t reflect my whole experience but it’s fascinating input over time. If you can afford one, it’s a valuable tool.

For as fun as it is, remember that taking control of your health doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank. The choices with the highest impact on our health are largely low cost: regular movement, plenty of downtime, fresh produce (usually the cheapest option of a grocery bill), and a focus on quality relationships.

In this era, and all the eras to come, the ability shift our nervous system into ease is a prerequisite for thriving and long-term health.

If you’re generally healthy, and carrying a heavy load of “normal” responsibilities or part of a marginalized population, this is your reminder that your peace is not a “luxury”. It’s is foundational capacity you need to keep showing up. No one can choose to center your peace except you.

Mind-Body Medicine is toolbox of techniques and skills to shift nervous system states. Many (most) of us are stuck in a neurological rut of stress and/or trauma responses. Even if we don’t necessarily feel stressed, we have lost sight of what it feels like to be in a parasympathetic state (at ease). We have lost sight of what it means to find and cultivate peace within oursleves. You don’t need to be a yogi, or spiritual guru, or drink green drinks to access a few simple tools.

At risk of sounding alarmist (and I do hate to sound alarmist) the plain truth is that without some form of these practices, stress, by default, is a MAJOR player in overall health risk for everything from hypertension to cancer.

So many people have been let down, frustrated, and feel broken when main stream wellness advice doesn’t work for them. You’re not broken, nor have your efforts been a waste. If you’re not experiencing the results you were expecting there usually very real and figure-out-able reasons for that.
