Fourth of July Weekend Hours

All three of our Fenton River Veterinary Hospital locations will be closed on Friday, July 4th🎆🐾

We’ll resume regular weekend hours on Saturday, July 5th:

📍 Tolland Office: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Ashford Office: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Stafford Office: CLOSED

Please keep your pet calm and secure during fireworks—and don’t forget the pet-safe BBQ snacks! 🐶🐱🍉

It’s MONDAY, let’s introduce you all to one of our team

For this , we would like you to meet Melanie!🐾

Melanie brings over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field, having worked in Hawaii, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts before finding her “home” here in December 2024.

She’s a proud dog mom to Igor (pronounced EYE-gore—very important!), a Boston Terrier/Pug mix who is "100% derpy and proud of it".

Outside of work Melanie is an avid cross-stitch artist who loves gothic and horror-inspired designs.

You’ll often find her watching true crime documentaries and horror movies in her spare time.

For this we would like you to meet, Alex!🐾

Alex joined Fenton River Vet in August and has been enjoying every moment of working with the team and caring for patients.

A recent graduate of Becker College with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Lab Animal Medicine, Alex brings a strong passion for animal care and hands-on experience to the clinic.

Outside of work, Alex stays active and can often be found tackling 5K obstacle races. When not in the clinic, Alex spends time with her horse, Allie.
