Spring Into Heart Health Workshop with Martha Staff is this Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 2–4pm.

Two hours with Martha, built around what your heart and nervous system actually need.

The first hour is Iyengar-inspired asana. Chest openers, shoulder work, and supported inversions. The second hour is pranayama, simple breathing techniques you can keep using long after you leave the studio. Both are designed to support heart rate variability, healthy blood pressure, and vagal tone.

Inversions are always optional and adapted to where you are that day. If you're menstruating, Martha will offer guidance on modifying or sitting them out, with full respect for your privacy.

A few practical notes:
👉 Best if you have around a year of Hatha or similar practice
👉 Capped at 10 so everyone gets real attention
👉 If you have a heart condition, please check with your physician first

There's room for you here. Claim one of the 10 spots at RogueValleyYoga.com.

Join us every Sunday at 10:30am for a sliding-scale Supported Self Practice!

This session revives the tradition of shared, independent practice within community. A quiet, open studio space for self-led yoga, it begins with a brief invocation, after which students practice independently, with an instructor available for support only if and when requested.

This non-competitive, no-pressure community practice offers space for integration and exploration. Students are welcome to arrive at any time and leave before the end. There is no expectation to stay for the full session. Practice in any way that serves you, from yin or restorative to vigorous vinyasa, structured alignment work, or quiet meditation. Please arrive and leave mindfully to minimize distraction.

All levels are welcome; students brand new to yoga may find more support in a guided class before joining this format. Sliding scale; all class packages accepted.

Adjustments are becoming a lost art.

You know that feeling when a teacher makes a small adjustment and something just clicks in your body? When it’s done well, it helps you feel what’s already there, a little more clearly.

Well, we still teach that here. 🤍

Vin Yin blends the warmth of a steady vinyasa flow with the quiet depth of yin yoga. The first half of class builds gentle heat through mindful movement and breath, linking postures in a slow, accessible flow. The second half shifts into longer-held yin poses to release tension in the connective tissues and invite deep stillness.

Expect a balanced practice that leaves you both energized and deeply relaxed. Suitable for all levels, including newer students.

Come see for yourself every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30pm!

If you've taken our yoga Intensive, but still feel a little unsure about actually teaching…
that’s exactly what Part 2 is for.

It starts May 15, and this is where you spend time figuring out how to lead a class without second guessing everything you say.

Three weekends working on real teaching skills, plus a short mentorship where you assist a class and see how it all actually works in the room.

It’s not perfect right away (that’s part of it), but then something starts to click.

We’ve got a couple spots left. If you’ve been thinking about continuing but haven’t decided yet, just reach out. Happy to talk it through.

Most people think teaching yoga is about knowing a lot of poses... it’s not. It’s about standing in front of a room and not second guessing everything you say.

That’s what we focus on in Part Two: The Art of Effective Teaching at Rogue Valley Yoga.

You learn how to build a class that flows, how to explain things so people understand you, and how to pay attention to what’s happening in the room instead of just sticking to a plan.

There’s a lot of practice teaching. It can feel awkward at first, but then something shifts and you start to trust what you’re saying.

You assist classes, teach a couple on your own, and get real feedback along the way. You also learn how to work with different bodies, injuries, and experience levels. By the end, you’re not guessing anymore.

If you’ve been thinking about it but aren’t sure where to start, we have a few more spots left for part two of our yoga teacher training beginning May 15. Check out our website for more details and pre-requisites to join.

Part 2 of our yoga teacher training starts May 15th.

This one is for those graduates of part 1 who want to go deeper. Well cover things like using your voice clearly, sequencing that flows, physical adjustments, working one-on-one with private clients, and the business side of yoga teaching.

You'll also get four in-class mentorships and the chance to teach real public classes through our Sunday donation series. BONUS: You'll also get unlimited classes at RVY for the duration of the training.

We only have four spots left. Check out RogueValleyYoga.com/sytt for more details.

Emam & Mahalakshmi Return to Rogue Valley Yoga!

They joined us last year, and it was truly magical. The room was full, the singing was strong, and the evening lingered in our hearts long after the last chant. We are so grateful to welcome them back.

Friday (June 12): Join us for an unforgettable evening of vibrant world music and uplifting Kirtan with Emam & Mahalakshmi, visiting from Goa, India. Community vegetarian potluck after (bring a dish or come as you are)

Saturday (June 13): Mantra workshop with Q&A to learn how mantra works as a powerful part of a holistic practice. Together we will explore the importance of using the authentic voice as a tool for presence, devotion, and inner connection. No singing experience necessary.

RSVPs are appreciated so we can prepare the space and food accordingly. Payment can be made in person or online.

We cannot wait to share this night with you again!

It’s April 1st… and this showed up over the studio tonight. 🌈

Not gonna lie, it felt like a little gift. Just one of those moments where you stop for a second and take it in.

New month, same life, but maybe a small reset. Come in, take a class, breathe a little deeper than you have been.

That’s enough. 💛
