Remember those who sacrificed everything for our freedom.
In 2013, to honor the 9,000 soldiers who perished during D-Day, British artists Jamie Wardley and Andy Moss, along with volunteers, created "The Fallen 9,000" on Normandy's beaches. Using stencils and rakes, they drew silhouettes in the sand as a stark reminder of the immense sacrifice made on June 6, 1944. The outlines, later washed away by the tide, symbolized the transient nature of life and the enduring impact of their bravery. A powerful tribute to those who fought for our freedom.
