The cannabis and cannabis products that are available at stores these days are not like what was around 15 years ago, or even longer. Keep all cannabis products (like v**es & edibles) away from youth, pets and your favorite farm animals - safely store them in a lock box and properly dispose of them when you are all done.

Have a young person in your life heading off to college this fall? Take time to educate them on the importance of only taking medications as directed and not sharing prescription medications with others. Some prescription medications are sought after by college students to reduce pain, increase focus, or get high. If your young person has a prescription for one of these medications, talk to them about ways to keep their medications safe.

Tens of thousands of products distributed across Michigan have been recalled due to safety concerns. The recall includes 26,000 ma*****na v**e cartridges believed to contain medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, which the state has warned should not be inhaled.

More than 26,000 cannabis products have been recalled across Michigan.

Today's ma*****na/cannabis is nothing like that of the 1970s or even the 2000s. The THC content has increased 5x just since 2000. As ma*****na/cannabis potency increases, users have an increased risk of psychosis. This recent study found a 14x increase in developing schizophrenia-spectrum disorder and a 241x higher risk of cannabis-induced psychosis for frequent users, those who are younger, and male. Marijuana/Cannabis use is not harmless.

Shifting things little by little now can make those early mornings and busy evenings feel a whole lot smoother later. Try moving bedtime up by 30 minutes, sitting down for meals together, or having a screen-free hour before bed. These small changes can help everyone feel a little more rested, a little less rushed, and a lot more ready for the school year ahead.
