Thank you, Rogue Valley, for voting me a finalist in the Community Choice Awards for Best Allergy Clinic! ⭐️ I’m so grateful for your trust and support. My training in NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) — which blends applied kinesiology with acupuncture — allows me to help clients find relief from food and environmental sensitivities naturally.

In a world where allergies and sensitivities are becoming increasingly common, effective treatment options are crucial. Recently, I was honored to be voted a finalist in the Rogue Valley Times Community Choice Award allergy clinic contest, and I attribute this recognition to my specialization in NAE...

Looking for natural ways to manage your health concerns? Acupuncture might be just what you need!

Here are the top 3 conditions that acupuncture can treat:

🌿Pain - Whether it's chronic pain from arthritis, back pain from an injury, or headaches, acupuncture can help reduce discomfort by promoting the release of endorphins and improving blood flow.

🌿Allergies - Acupuncture can help relieve allergy symptoms like sneezing, congestion, and itchy eyes by boosting the immune system and reducing inflammation.

🌿Women's health - Acupuncture can help regulate menstrual cycles, ease PMS symptoms, and improve fertility by balancing hormones and reducing stress.

Spring has arrived, but so have seasonal allergies! If you're tired of relying on medication to relieve your allergy symptoms, you might want to give acupuncture a try. Acupuncture and NAET are natural and safe ways to help your body manage its reaction to allergens, such as pollen, dust, and mold.

Here are some of the ways that acupuncture can help with seasonal allergies:

🌿 Reduces inflammation: Acupuncture can help to reduce inflammation in the nasal passages and other parts of the body that are affected by allergies. This can relieve symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and congestion.

🌿 Boosts immunity: Acupuncture can stimulate the immune system, which can help your body fight off allergens more effectively.

🌿 Relieves stress: Stress can make allergy symptoms worse, but acupuncture can help to reduce stress and promote relaxation. This can help to alleviate symptoms and improve your overall sense of well-being.

At our clinic, we offer personalized acupuncture and NAET treatments that are tailored to your specific needs and symptoms.

According to a study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, more than half of American children and adolescents are not getting enough hydration. Another study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that about 43% of adults drink less than four cups of water per day, which is less than half of the recommended amount.💧

It is recommended that adults drink at least eight cups (64 ounces) of water per day. And no, coffee, tea, and sodas don’t count as water.💧

Some of the more well-known results of dehydration are:

💧Urinary tract infections: When the body is dehydrated, the urine becomes concentrated, which can lead to the growth of bacteria in the urinary tract and increase the risk of urinary tract infections.

💧Kidney stones: Dehydration can lead to the formation of kidney stones, which are hard mineral deposits that form in the kidneys.

💧Constipation: When the body is dehydrated, the colon absorbs more water from the stool, making it harder and more difficult to pass.

💧Headaches and migraines: Dehydration can cause headaches and migraines due to the loss of fluid and electrolytes in the body.

💧Low blood pressure: Dehydration can cause a decrease in blood volume, which can lead to low blood pressure and fainting.

For less known consequences of chronic dehydration, check out the book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water". It was written by Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidj, a physician who believed that many common health problems are caused by chronic dehydration. In the book, Dr. Batmanghelidj argues that dehydration can contribute to a variety of conditions, including asthma, allergies, high blood pressure, fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, and even cancer.💧

Dr. Batmanghelidj based his ideas on his experiences as a physician in a prison camp in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war, where he was able to successfully treat prisoners with a variety of conditions using only water. He believed that many of the health problems he saw were due to chronic dehydration, and that drinking enough water could alleviate these problems.💧

The Emotion Code and Body Code are two related systems of energy healing developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, a holistic chiropractor.✨

The Emotion Code is focused on identifying and releasing trapped emotions that can cause physical and emotional problems. It is a targeted system that is specifically designed to address emotional imbalances in the body's energy system.✨

The Body Code is a more comprehensive system that addresses a wide range of imbalances in the body's energy system. In addition to trapped emotions, it also addresses other types of imbalances, such as nutritional deficiencies, toxicity, and structural misalignments.✨

Both the Emotion Code and Body Code use muscle testing and various energy healing techniques to identify and release imbalances in the body's energy system. The goal of both systems is to restore balance and harmony to the body's energy system, thereby promoting optimal health and well-being.✨

One or both of these treatments can be done during your acupuncture visit. Just ask!✨

Here are my top 5 tips for glowing skin: 🤩

⭐️Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps to keep your skin hydrated and flushes out toxins, which can lead to clearer, brighter skin. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water each day

⭐️Get Enough Sleep: Getting enough sleep is crucial for your skin's health and overall well-being. Lack of sleep can lead to dull, tired-looking skin, so aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night to help your skin look and feel its best.

⭐️Develop a Skincare Routine: A regular skincare routine can help to improve the overall health and appearance of your skin. Make sure to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin twice a day, and exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells.

⭐️Cosmetic facial acupuncture is said to have a number of benefits, including:
⚡️Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
⚡️Improving skin tone and texture
⚡️Boosting collagen production
⚡️Increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage
⚡️Reducing puffiness and dark circles under the eyes
⚡️Promoting relaxation and reducing stress

The autonomic nervous system controls many of the body's involuntary functions, such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and breathing.

⭐️Acupuncture has been found to modulate the activity of the autonomic nervous system by influencing the balance between its sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest) branches.

⭐️Studies have shown that acupuncture can increase parasympathetic activity and decrease sympathetic activity, leading to a state of relaxation and reduced stress.

⭐️For example, research has demonstrated that acupuncture can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and cortisol levels, all of which are indicators of reduced sympathetic activity and increased parasympathetic activity.

⭐️Acupuncture has also been found to stimulate the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters, which can further promote relaxation and pain relief.

There is evidence to suggest that acupuncture can have a positive impact on the body's stress response and overall well-being.

One theory is that acupuncture works by stimulating the release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body. ☺️

The needles may trigger the release of endorphins in the brain and spinal cord, which can help reduce pain and promote a sense of well-being.☺️

About Nicole Peterson, LAc, MAcOM

Hi, I'm Nicole. I am dedicated to helping people reclaim their health and vitality so they can enjoy life again. Using ancient and modern therapies including acupuncture, NAET, herbal medicine, and nutrition, I help people of all ages on their journey back to health.

My interest in Chinese medicine began when I was 15 years old on a family trip to China where I visited local hospitals and small village clinics. Intrigued by what I saw, I decided to learn more and eventually pursued a career in Chinese medicine. Graduating in 2003, I earned my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon. Prior to relocating to Ashland with my family, I maintained a busy acupuncture practice located in Asheville, North Carolina for over 10 years. I have trained extensively in the Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) since 2007. I went on to study Natural Functional Nutrition in order to meet the needs of many of my patients who suffer from various chronic illnesses like autoimmune disorders, adrenal fatigue, and gut malabsorption, most of which respond well with nutritional supplementation.

I have over 15 years of clinical experience. I am board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and I am licensed to practice acupuncture, nutrition, and herbal medicine in Oregon and California.
