Thank you Hungry Bear 100 for your generous support for our program and our patients! Your donation to Regional Hospice's "Catch A Dream" will help create special memories for our patients and their loved ones. It is a privilege to help our patients capture the joy in living.

Today, Hungry Bear Gravel made our annual donation to Regional Hospice Services & Palliative Care's for the Catch a Dream program, which helps patients fulfill meaningful final wishes. These experiences can include special dinners, anniversaries, or fishing trips, all aimed at capturing “joy in living” during their end-of-life journey.

I’d like to thank Linda Shydlowski for reminding me of the joy of riding. This donation honors Barbara J. Bjorklund. Thank you to Hospice for their support and care!

Regional Hospice appreciates the generous donation from the Ashland Wednesday Senior "Hot Shot" Pool League. The league has a season fundraiser. Each time a player scratches on a shot, they donate to the "Scratch Jug". At the end of year the members vote on a non-profit recipient to receive the collected funds.
Thank you Senior Hot Shots!

Regional Hospice is thankful for strong community support from local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Your support makes it possible to offer more resources for our patients and the communities we serve.

Regional Hospice's Catch A Dream program helps our patients capture the joy in living.

Our patient Josh wished to celebrate his 31st birthday with a family cookout. Regional Hospice was happy to provide the fixings for the party. Josh's Dad grilled up brats and hot dogs while his Mom plated up sides. Josh enjoyed his favorite drink - ice cold root beer! The cookout was complete with cake and ice cream. When Matt, RHS Volunteer Coordinator told him what was on the menu for the day, Josh said, "I like it all!"

We Honor Veterans
In honor of William's service to his country, Jim, Regional Hospice Veteran Volunteer, presented William with a certificate of service to show our appreciation for his service in the Wisconsin Army Reserves.

Honoring our Veteran hospice patients is meaningful for both patients and their families. Acknowledging our Veteran's service creates opportunities to share about their time in service.

Pictured with William is his son Scott with wife Sarah and his grandsons Thatcher and Reagan. Standing are cousins, far left - Rebecca and far right - Linda.
Pictured with William from L - R are Regional Hospice Volunteers, Jim, Tom, Mary Lou, and Jeffrey, Volunteer Coordinator.

Regional Hospice is thankful for the generous support for our patients from our local community.
Earlier this year, Trinity Lutheran Church Spooner put out a call to parishioners asking for lap quilts. In May, the church group donated 16 quilts for hospice patients. Thank you!

Regional Hospice Hospice Volunteer Training is scheduled for June 4 & June 6
for Ironwood MI and Hurley WI area.
"To anyone considering becoming a hospice volunteer, do it. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. You will meet dedicated Regional Hospice staff, wonderful families and patients who are able to be at home or a care facility with quality of life and comfort care." Jeanette, Regional Hospice Volunteer for 28 years!

One of the most important things our volunteers can offer our patients is time: time to sit with them, listen to their stories and share their lives. Time to offer caregivers a break from caring for a loved one.

Training is scheduled Wednesday June 4 & Friday June 6 from 10am to 3pm
Location: Regional Hospice Office, 204 Harrison St, Suite 5 in Ironwood.
