Appleseed Community Mental Health Center

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center Appleseed Community Mental Health Center, Inc. is a not for profit community mental health agency.

Appleseed walks with families and individuals on their journey to live healthy, whole, and productive lives by offering comprehensive and integrated behavioral health, housing, outreach & prevention, substance-use disorder, and victim services. Appleseed wishes to maximize an individual’s existing strengths, focus on solutions and create a supportive environment for people suffering from mental il

lness. This is in contrast to focusing on existing weaknesses, problems, and creating an environment not chosen by the individual. Appleseed strives to serve individuals in the least restrictive, most appropriate environment possible. Appleseed seeks to address the needs of all Ashland County residents, including the needs of the general public and the needs of people with severe mental disability, as identified both in the Ashland County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services’ community plan and through Appleseed’s needs assessment activities.

Summer groups are almost here 🌞🎨

We’ve got some really awesome youth groups coming up at Appleseed focused on creativity, confidence, emotional wellness, connection, and coping skills — all in spaces designed to help kids and teens feel supported, understood, and encouraged to be themselves.

From art therapy and anxiety skills to our Forge boys group, these programs give youth a chance to build skills, express themselves, and connect with others in a welcoming environment.

We were honored to attend the United Way of Ashland County Ohio Annual Dinner this week and celebrate the incredible impact our community made together this year.

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center was recognized as one of the Top 20 fundraising companies, with our team raising $13,466 in support of United Way’s mission. Altogether, our community raised more than $1 million to support programs and services across Ashland County.

We’re grateful to our staff, supporters, and community partners who continue to show up for one another and invest in the wellbeing of our community. 💙

Alcohol Awareness Month is a reminder to pause and check in with yourself. Your relationship with alcohol doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing—but it should feel like a choice, not a coping mechanism.

If you need support, you can reach our office at 419-281-3716 or our 24/7 crisis at 419-289-6111.
