Please help us welcome our newest Physical Therapist to the team at Clay County Rural Emergency Hospital — Johnitia Williams, DPT, CSCS! 🎉💪

Johnitia brings over 12 years of experience in physical therapy and sports rehabilitation to our community. A Birmingham native, she attended the University of Mobile where she played collegiate basketball before earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama in 2014.

Throughout her career, Johnitia has worked with patients of all ages — from youth athletes to geriatric patients — helping individuals recover, rebuild strength, and return to the activities they love. Her impressive background includes working with the renowned UAB Sports Medicine alongside Dr. Andrews’ group, collaborating with Dr. Lemak’s team at Drayer Physical Therapy, and serving with the professional Birmingham Legion FC soccer organization. She also currently provides consultations for student athletes at Miles College.

Johnitia holds multiple advanced certifications, including:
✔️ Board Certified Clinical Sports Physical Therapist
✔️ Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
✔️ Certified in Integrative Dry Needling
✔️ Certified in Blood Flow Restriction Therapy

When she’s not helping patients achieve their goals, you can find her spending time with her bernedoodle puppy, Tunechi, enjoying time with family, kickboxing, or weight training at the gym. Also, she has twin sister.

We are excited to have her expertise, passion, and energy serving our patients and community right here at Clay County REH! Be sure to give Johnitia a warm welcome when you see her! 🩵
