We’ve got sunny bluebird skies in Bend, Oregon on our minds this week. For those who aren’t into resort skiing, Bend offers some of the best cross-country trails in the country — miles of groomed paths perfect for enjoying crisp winter days without waiting in lift lines.

Happy Monday with MedTreks 🏔️ Excited to welcome our newest faculty, Dr. Avila!

Dr. Luis Ávila González is a physician and educator specializing in Mountain and Wilderness Medicine, with experience developing and teaching field-based courses throughout South America. As an approved Wilderness Life Support for Medical Professionals (WLS:MP) instructor and faculty member of the International Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM-Chile), he integrates clinical practice with outdoor leadership, rescue techniques, and cross-disciplinary training for healthcare professionals.

Dr Avila will be teaching the WLS:MP course and sharing some Medical Spanish tips on the trail in Patagonia this February!!
