Today was extra special as we welcomed 3 adorable puppies from Chequamegon Humane Association!

We hope you remembered to celebrate Pi Day over the weekend! We certainly did! Our kitchen was busy, and smelled amazing! Residents got to choose the flavors, prep the ingredients, and, of course, taste the final product! A fun-filled day of baking, laughter, and a little math!

National Popcorn AND Plant a Flower Day! Residents had a blast starting flower seeds, we'll all be excited to watch them grow! After getting our hands dirty, a little popcorn bar stocked with fun toppings was much appreciated!

Thank you both for everything you do to keep our facility running smoothly each and every day. From fixing the little things before anyone even notices, to tackling the big projects without hesitation - you’re always there making sure everything is safe, comfortable, and in top shape.

Your hard work, dedication, and quick responses never go unnoticed. We truly appreciate the countless repairs, improvements, and behind-the-scenes efforts you put in to keep our building at its best.

Congratulations to Carrie Karren, RN, on her promotion to Director of Nursing at Ashland Health Services! ✨🎉

Carrie joined Ashland Health in 2024, bringing with her an incredible 17 years of healthcare experience. As a casual nurse, she also worked at Northwoods Tech in Ashland as a clinical instructor to help grow the next generation of nursing assistants.

Carrie worked as a director of nursing in assisted living and home health, hospital staff nurse, and hospice case manager. As the director of nursing in an assisted living facility, she created a memorial service to honor residents and their families, a heartfelt tradition that continues to this day.

Carrie steps into this role with excitement, calm confidence, and a strong commitment to a long-term impact. We couldn’t be more thrilled for the experience, compassion, and leadership she brings to Ashland Health Services.

Outside of work, Carrie is a proud wife and mom to one son and two daughters.
