So much fun getting to know some of the wonderful business neighbors in Ashland!

Most networking events ask you to smile through small talk, collect business cards you'll never use, and hope something sticks. Happy Hour Vibes Networking and Recording Parties ask something entirely different: that you show up, have a genuinely great time, and let the microphone do the heavy lifti

🤍🔈1 in 5 mothers struggle with their mental health during pregnancy or postpartum.

For something so common, maternal mental health is still not talked about enough.

Many mothers are quietly carrying:
〰️Anxiety that won’t turn off
〰️Intrusive thoughts that feel scary
〰️A sense of disconnection from themselves or their baby

If that’s been your experience, you are not the only one.

And you don’t have to carry it alone 🤍🫶

Support is here when you’re ready.

What is behind the smile?

Becoming a mother is one of the most exciting—and terrifying—transitions in a person’s life. It is riddled with uncertainty, anticipation, and novelty. Some worry and anxiety are completely normal. You want to do a good job. And everything is brand new. But sometimes the worry becomes relentless...

🌈 Take Pride in Your Health 🌈

Thrilled to be surrounded by others whose values align: Those dedicated to providing the community with the care everyone deserves including affirming medical care, mental health care, housing, oral care, and the list goes on and on.

A few takeaways from speakers:
* 8 out of every 10 people have been or will be infected with HPV at some point in their lives
* Colorectal cancer has the 2nd highest mortality rate among 50+ (lung cancer being 1st) and has the 1st highest mortality rate among 45 and under. Get screened!
* Bisexual, Pansexual, and Non-binary individuals are at the highest risk of using to***co products and not getting screened for lung cancer. Believed to be due to increased stress related to aspects of intersectionality.

Stay tuned for the next community event. See yall there 🤍

Sustainable Steady Progress vs. Temporary Quick Fixes

We live in a culture that loves fast transformation stories — dramatic before-and-after’s, rapid breakthroughs, and overnight changes. But meaningful mental health progress rarely works that way.

So be patient with yourself. Growth that lasts is rarely rushed 🤍

🎉⭐️ It’s COMING back!

Virginia Mamas – Behind the Smile is returning for weekly, hour-long virtual sessions beginning April 8th.

We know timing is everything in those early years, so sessions are intentionally scheduled during morning nap time (and while older kiddos are at preschool 🤞📚💤) — all from the comfort of your home.

Use those precious moments of quiet to pour back into you — with support, strength, and real connection from mamas who truly get it. Women who understand both the beauty and the struggle of motherhood and are in the trenches right alongside you 🤍

You don’t have to do this alone.

Behind the Smile will be facilitated by Eloise McCorkle.

Eloise is a Resident in Counseling, a preferred provider with Postpartum Support Virginia, and has completed all required trainings toward her certification in Perinatal Mental Health — along with extensive additional clinical training and expertise.

But beyond her credentials, Eloise is also a fellow mama and military spouse.

She understands the unique layers of motherhood — the beauty, the overwhelm, the isolation, the strength it takes to show up every day.

She knows. 🫶

Most relationships don’t fall apart overnight. More often, they shift slowly—conversations change, connection feels harder, and what once felt easy starts to feel heavy. That doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with your relationship. It usually means something needs a little extra care. If ...
