Regina Ann Weist, 90, formerly of Gordon has passed away on June 21, 2022 at Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers, Florida.

Graveside services will be held on Monday October 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Cemetery in Fountain Springs (Ashland).

Edward “Ed” G. Clark IV, 80, of Lewisburg formerly Collegeville passed away Monday morning October 13, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville.

Born on August 6, 1945 in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Ethel and Edward G. Clark III.

Ed was of the Protestant faith and was a member of St. Luke’s United Church in Collegeville.

Ed was the husband of Carol R. (Davis) Clark. They were married on June 18, 1966.

He graduated from Williamson Trade School in 1965. Ed last worked for the County of Montgomery as a manager for domestic relations prior to his retirement. He also served in the Navy. Ed was a member of Warren Lodge 310 F&AM. He enjoyed fishing, football and woodworking.

Ed is preceded in death by; parents; brother William “Billy” Clark; nephew Warren Strouse; great nephew Alexander Kriner.

He is survived by; spouse Carol R. Clark, Lewisburg; brother in law Robert Davis (Alma), Lavelle; sister in law Jane Strouse (Warren), Royersford; niece Melissa A. Kriner, Lewisburg; nephew Robert Davis (Amy), AK; niece Jennifer Kring, Exton; niece Amy Delfaco, Royersford; niece in law Hope Strouse, Boyertown; 2 sisters Suzanne & Barbara; several great nieces & nephews.

Services will be private at his family’s request.

Barbara Ann Liem

Barbara Ann (Burger) Liem, 85, of Gordon has gone to her eternal home to join family and friends. The daughter of the late Emerson E.J. Burger and Lois M. (Dornsife) Burger, and the wife of the late Robert R. Liem. Barbara is survived by her son Robert and daughter Kimberly, granddaughters Kathryn, Madalyn and grandson Robby. A brother Ronald Emerson died in 2007.

Barbara was a graduate of the last graduating class of Ashland High School, Class of 1958. A confirmed member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Gordon. An active member of Christ United Lutheran Church.

Barbara was a member of Ashland Order of Eastern Star, where she held the office of Worthy Matron, Gordon Fire Company Auxiliary and Gordon Senior Citizens.

Barbara’s one wish is to be remembered as, “The Spanken Lady of Gordon”!!! Love you guys, thanks for all the memories Mike, Casey and Will. You made these last years filled with laughter, the will to go on, but mostly love!!!

Services will be private, interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Pershing W. Markle Sr.

Pershing W. Markle, Sr. of Berwick, PA passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 83.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda (Lubold) Markle, his parents Pershing and Elizabeth (Wagner) Markle of Mount Carmel, PA, and a sister, Deloris (Markle) Carlson of Reading, PA. Surviving immediate family members include a sister, Bette Ann (Markle) Joyce of Ashland, PA, his son and daughter-in-law Pershing W. Markle, Jr. and Christina (Hoffman) Markle of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter Lisa Markle of Berwick, PA, and two grandsons, Austin Markle of Berwick, PA, and Alec Markle of Hampton, VA.

Pershing was born in Mount Carmel, PA, a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, and was a member of Cedar Lodge #378 Free and Accepted Masons. He moved his family to Berwick, PA for his employment at Wise Potato Chip Company (Wise Foods). He and his wife were both members of Calvary United Methodist Church in Berwick. Later in life he attended services at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg, PA. Pershing was also a member of the U.S. Army’s elite 6th Special Forces Group (Airborne) who served and trained at Fort Bragg, NC and multiple cold weather training sites across Alaska. Pershing very much enjoyed travel and the outdoors with his family. He was a devoted son who visited his mother each and every week throughout his life. Pershing will be greatly missed as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and generous and kind friend to many.

Pershing was laid to rest in the Mount Carmel Cemetery on Thursday, September 25, 2025 in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg, PA.

Linda J. McCormick, 79, of Kulpmont formerly of Numidia passed away Wednesday afternoon September 24, 2025 at her home.

Born in Syracuse NY on January 1, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Lorraine (Osier) and Raymond Adulfas.

Linda was of the Methodist faith. She graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School.

She was the wife of the late Leonard McCormick.

Throughout the years she worked as a telephone operator and cleaned houses. Linda enjoyed doing crafts and reading.

Linda is survived by; son Terry L. Wolford (Bryan Emala), White Haven; son Kenneth Herrit, Rupert, granddaughter Brittany Olsen (Josh); great grandson Aegon.

Services and interment will be private.

George H. Watkins

George H. Watkins, 84, of Fountain Springs passed away Tuesday morning September 23, 2025.

Born in Ashland on April 16, 1941 he was the son of the late Nellie (Beneshunas) and Honorable G. Harold Watkins.

George was of the Christian faith. He attended Butler Township High School, Wyoming Seminary High School and the Oxford Academy. George later graduated from Temple University where studied business finance.

He was the husband of Susan (Shepherd) Watkins.

George served in the Army and Merchant Marines.

For over 55 years he owned and operated Watkins Lawn & Garden in Fountain Springs.

He enjoyed football, traveling and dining out.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Carol Healy.

Surviving are; spouse Susan Watkins, Fountain Springs; daughter Jennifer Watkins, FL; grandson George Jordan, FL; brother Edmund Watkins, Myrtle Beach; sister Pamella Hobbs, FL; nieces & nephews.

Services and interment will be private.
