John Gross, MD
Dr. Gross graduated with distinction from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He then graduated from the University of Kentucky Medical School and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Carter Gussler, MD
Dr. Gussler graduated from Colga
te University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics. He then graduated from the University of Kentucky Medical School and completed his residency at St Lukes Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio. Joshua Gross, MD
Dr. Josh Gross is the newest addition to the doctors of Tri-State Ophthalmology! He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown College in Kentucky with a Bachelor of science in chemistry, and then went on to graduate from the University of Louisville Medical School. After completing a two-year research fellowship concentrating on ocular blood flow and its effects on eye diseases at the Indiana University Ophthalmology Department in Indianapolis, Dr. Gross returned to the University of Louisville where he completed his Ophthalmology residency. Dr. Gross enjoys treating many medical and surgical eye diseases. He is especially excited to bring corneal refractive surgery, including LASIK, to the Tri-State area. Joshua Daniel, OD
Dr. Daniel is a graduate of Johnson Central High School, where he was captain of the academic team. He earned a BA in Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University where he was a member of the Honors Program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then attended Indiana University School of Optometry and was awarded the Class of ’57 scholarship as the top incoming student of his class. Upon graduating in 2012, he moved to Ashland and began his career. He is the head of our Dry Eye Clinic and enjoys treating all aspects of ocular surface disease. He also manages post-operative patients as well as treating a wide variety of ocular disorders. He lives in Ashland with his wife Abby.
