Thank you to WLUK-TV FOX 11 for having us on this morning and highlighting some exciting happenings this fall!
New Events:
*You Belong Royal Ball - Saturday Sept 27th. You Belong is partnering with Positively Princess for our first ever Royal Ball event. There are two sessions (each 2 hours long) for this event that includes dancing and creating magic with princess characters.
Session 1: kids ages 0-8 of all abilities | 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Session 2: kids and adults of all abilities | 6 -8 p.m.
*Dancing with our Stars:
You Belong is participating in the 2025 NEW Dancing with our stars event on October 4th. Miss Bethany Allcox is dancing, and will likely capture the hearts of many. Bethany lives with Down Syndrome and has been ballroom dancing for 10 years. Her dream has been to be on Dancing with the stars so she’s over the moon getting the opportunity to compete in the local event. The event raises money for community non-profit organizations. New Fall Programs: https://www.youbelongwi.org/our-programs
*Work from You Belong - Every Wednesday the You Belong team offers this unique program to help remote working parents. From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, parents can work in the multipurpose room while their children have the opportunity to play and have fun with You Belong’s child watch team in The Adventure Zone.
*Littler Learners - This is a new module of You Belong’s family class that we are offering. It is designed for children 2-5 with a specific focus on social interaction and sensory stimulation. With all of our family classes, parents/caregivers of kiddos in Littler Learners will stay in the facility but unlike our family class which offers a parent education portion, the parents/caregivers have time to relax, work, or socialize with other parents.
*Forward Together - This program is designed to help families who have kiddos being evaluated for or have been recently diagnosed with a disability. Families will get one on one support from our staff member to help them find support, get connected with resources in the community, and be introduced to a community of families who have gone through similar journeys in life.
You Belong, a non-profit for individuals living with disabilities, has released new programming and events for the fall season.
