Dear North County Pilates Community,

I am incredibly honored and so very excited to step into the role of owner at North County Pilates starting October 1st. 

I want to thank Melissa for putting her trust in me. Thank you, Melissa, for the strong foundation you have so lovingly built North County Pilates on. For the community you have built with such love, vision, and care. You have created a space that has inspired and nurtured so many of us, myself included! 

To our clients: I am committed to honoring what makes this studio so special. I have watched this studio from day one, and cheered it on from the sidelines for many years. I loved this studio long before I stepped into an instructor role here. I’ve been honored to work alongside Melissa for years and have learned so much from her leadership and heart. I plan to carry that forward with the same passion, high standards, and community spirit you’ve come to know and love. 

North County Pilates will continue to be a place where you feel supported, challenged, and connected. I can’t wait for what’s ahead, and I’m grateful to share this next chapter.

Dear North County Pilates Family,

This is one of the hardest messages l’ve ever had to write, because it comes from a place of deep emotion and reflection. After many heartfelt conversations, sleepless nights, and soul-searching, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step back from my role as the owner of North County Pilates.

This studio has been my dream. It’s been my heart and my home, and each of you has played a part in making it everything I ever hoped it would be. I love this work, and I love each and every one of you. That’s what makes this so hard.

But the truth is, I’m tired. My body and spirit are telling me it’s time to rest, to take care of my health, and to finally be closer to my husband, who has been my rock through five years of long-distance marriage. It’s time for us to share daily life together-not just weekends and phone calls.

Starting October 1st, ownership of North County Pilates will officially pass to someone I trust completely and wholeheartedly: Kelli Poist. Many of you already know Kelli; she is not only an incredibly gifted teacher but a kind, grounded, and thoughtful leader. I feel confident that the heart of North County Pilates will continue to beat strongly under her care.

Please know that this is not goodbye. I will still be around through the transition, and you can continue to reach me at the same phone number and email you’ve always used. I would love to stay in touch and hear how you’re doing, how your practice is growing, and how the studio continues to thrive.

Thank you for trusting me, for showing up, for growing with me, and for being part of this journey. You have been one of the greatest joys of my life and I will miss each one of you dearly.
