Trusting the universe to help us create the life that makes us really joyful and feels aligned can be challenging.

So many aspects of the world we have grown up in have told us to rely on the known ways and path of working hard and just to “live with it” if it is not really what we want.

If we really are motivated to create our lives that make us feel good - better than we can even imagine, trusting life’s processes and surrendering the old patterns are essential.

How does this relate to Tai Chi and Qigong? By practicing internal arts aspects of these which include focusing less on the physical and mental aspects and more on the soft, relaxed energy-flow, we can get closer to a more joyful life.

This includes being in “ease and flow’ over much of what the outside world shows us. Tai Chi and Qigong practices also bring us more into the present moment where it all feels okay.

I invite you to follow along with my videos and use the conscious breath and the Qigong focus to build your trust and surrender.

Boundaries are essential for each of us to interact with the world while keeping our sovereignty and stay on our aligned soul path.

Instead of allowing the outside world to enter our energy field and thus our mental and emotional bodies, we can be conscious “gate keepers” of these influences.

Many of us have been trained to do for others, give to others in an unbalanced way. There are times when it does not make us feel good yet we are challenged to say, “you are asking more of me than I can give at this time.”

Creating an energetic boundary with intention helps us manage our emotional state much more masterfully.

I invite you to follow along and use the conscious breath and the Qigong focus to build and maintain your energetic boundaries.

​With practice, you can understand how to sense this in a physical way and then apply it to your interactions with the external world, especially in personal relationships.

If you can do it physically, it is easier to do it mentally and emotionally.

This helps us further if one integrates the internal energy concepts into our practices. We are then able to clear old patterns and habits and move into the next chapter of our lives with ease, balance and fulfillment.

Do you have difficulty with all the tasks you create for yourself?

I have struggled with having too much to do and realized that I have created this list that goes beyond my capacity to complete.

Even the concept of always having a list to complete is out of balance, but is difficult to recognize when we are living it each day.

In today’s video, I talk about focus with help from my cat Spanky.

Like everything in life, our mindset creates our reality. When we can focus our attention more clearly and purely, we can feel more ease around the things we do.

Focus is much easier with awareness of the conscious breath – so create as many opportunities to stop and take a deep breath and focus on what you are doing.

Multitasking is not really taking us into ease and flow and ultimately fulfillment and joy.

I invite you to explore the possibility of doing fewer things and bringing your full focus to each thing you do.

Are you struggling to understand and live the concept of balance in your life?

Do you feel like what used to work in the past for stress relief and self care is no longer working?

When I practice Tai Chi and Qigong with an internal focus, I reverse the stressed out mindset and become more calm, balanced and capable in order to live life with a smile on my face.

In my career as a fish biologist, I often found myself stressed out about how to manage all that was asked of me. I would end the day feeling my vitality drained and a bit “gray.”

This still sometimes happens to me, but since then I have studied, practiced and taught the internal aspects of Tai Chi and Qigong, they have helped me have less of these moments and have helped tremendously in dealing with everyday overwhelm and stress.

I’ll be guiding you with these practices and tools in my 12 week Tai Chi + Nature Program starting April 3rd.

We’ll use alternative ways to get to the root of stress and help you move the energy of it, so you can truly return to a relaxed and rejuvenated state.

What will the 12 week Tai Chi + Nature Program look like?
We’ll discuss and practice methods of reducing stress and regaining health and wellbeing using Tai Chi and Qigong principles and integrating nature.

The program consists of meeting on Zoom for 12 consecutive Saturdays at 9:00 am MT (11:00 am Eastern / 8:00 am Pacific) for about 75 minutes of Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises, a mini ‘wisdom of nature’ session and Q + A.

My passion is helping healers and wellness professionals thrive and get to a place where they are no longer knocked off their center so easily. A place where they can bring in relaxation and rejuvenation no matter what life is throwing at them.

What has you agitated?

If you are living with a bit of irritation or have multiple days where you feel grumpy and out-of-sorts, this shows us that we are disconnected from the flow of life.

So many of us are not fully in our bodies and spending too much time thinking about how to control our external world.

I have struggled with my own over-thinking and tension from my training to be a “good person” that is responsible for myself and others beyond what one person is capable of.

I have found myself stressed out because I could not do it all, and attempting to control things and be what the world expects. I have not been grounded in my own power.

What if there is a way to release the stuff that keeps you from being calm and balanced ?

Activities and mindsets that open us up to our basic right to thrive – to be in our creative energy because we are breathing more deeply, and have a smile on our face that originates from the inside and core of ourselves.

Tai Chi, Qigong and nature offer us a soft and subtle invitation to claim these feelings of peace, balance and center. These are “life-time practices” that you can retain.

Not Tai Chi from a martial arts perspective of competition or “doing it right.”

Here we are wrapping up the first 3 months of 2021 and things still seem unsettled.

Are you struggling to understand and live the concept of balance in your life?

Do you feel like what used to work in the past for stress relief and self care is no longer working?

Beginning April 3rd, I’m offering a 12 week Tai Chi + Nature Program in which we’ll explore ways to get you the relaxation and rejuvenation you crave.

This focus is not martial arts or how to do Tai Chi forms “correctly” but an exploration on how you can incorporate the wellness and energy flow concepts into your life.

I wish to share some of what I have learned from my professional career as a biologist and restoring rivers and nature along with the internal energy principles of Tai Chi and Qigong.

Through my study, practice and teaching of Tai Chi, Qigong and the natural world, I am able to bring myself back to my center over and over. I am able to manage my stress and thrive in a world that is constantly trying to throw me off.

During our 12 weeks together, you will:

*Learn how to identify and release built-up tension in the body by practicing conscious breathing, Tai Chi and Qigong movements and incorporating wisdom from nature and Taoism.

In the past, I have often found myself waking up at 3 am feeling overwhelmed by my responsibilities and didn’t know how to shut it off so I could get some restorative rest.

You too?

This still sometimes happens to me, but since then I have studied, practiced and taught the tools that have helped me have less of these moments and have helped tremendously in dealing with everyday overwhelm and stress.

From what I have learned, we must change the “inside” in order for our outside world to change and get better.
