🌟 Oconee Physical Therapy is proud to support Cure Childhood Cancer this month! 🌟

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re joining the fight to bring hope, healing, and resources to families affected by childhood cancer. 💛

All month long, our clinic will be raising awareness and supporting Cure Childhood Cancer, an incredible organization dedicated to funding life-saving research while providing care and support to children and their families.

We invite our patients, friends, and community to join us in making a difference. Whether it’s spreading awareness, donating here in the office, or simply wearing gold 🎗️ to honor these brave kids, every effort counts.

Together, we can help create a future where childhood cancer is no longer a threat. 💪✨

🌟 Therapist Spotlight: Dr. Matt Allgood, PT, DPT, OCS
Owner | Physical Therapist🌟

Meet Matt Allgood, a dedicated physical therapist who brings both clinical excellence and a deep local connection to Oconee Physical Therapy. Matt’s journey into physical therapy began right here—as a patient at OPT back in 2008. Inspired by that experience, he changed career paths and hasn’t looked back.

After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management from UGA in 2005, Matt went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in 2011 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Augusta University in 2016. He didn’t stop there—he completed a postdoctoral residency and became a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2017.

Since then, Matt has focused on delivering research-based care, including manual therapy and dry needling, to treat orthopedic and sports-related injuries, post-op rehab, and musculoskeletal conditions. His goal is always the same: fast, effective, and personalized treatment that gets you back to what you love.

Matt grew up in Oconee County and now lives in Athens with his wife, their two daughters, and their beloved dog, Dolly. When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him on the golf course, in the kitchen, or exploring new restaurants and travel spots with his family.

Help us give a warm shoutout to Matt for all he brings to our patients and our team! 👏
