Anybody else feeling the post Cowboy Carter slump?! 😩 I’m thinking about starting a support group. Together, we can get through this until Act III.

Supporting the people and causes I care about are one of the best parts of being a small business owner. So proud to support my husband and celebrate the work of the Athens Community Council on Aging at their signature fundraising event - Retro Prom. 🪩 This year’s prom court made a huge impact, smashing fundraising goals and records.

mission is to promote a lifetime of wellness through engagement, advocacy, education and support. Aging…everybody’s doing it. 💙

Vote ✅💙

Don’t underestimate the power of asking your neighbors, family, friends, and acquaintances if they have voted yet. While in the salon this week I posed that question to everyone in the space. It opened the door to connection, meaningful dialogue, and action!

I confirmed registration status, early voting locations, and pulled sample ballots for 8 folks through mvp.sos.ga.gov. All of whom committed to going to the polls.

One person had not voted for decades bc they did not realize they were eligible. They were so thrilled that they left and brought a friend over for me to check who was also eligible.

Our futures are tied, yall. That’s what it means to be in community. Even the most frustrated and disillusioned folks can be moved to action when we connect, listen, and invite their participation in a genuine and personal way.

Have you voted yet? If not, what’s the plan? Early voting continues in Georgia through Nov 1. If you love the rush and excitement of Election Day voting, enjoy Tuesday, Nov 5! As for me and my house, we early vote. 😂
