📣 We’re Updating Our Practice Names on January 1, 2026!

Starr Regional Medical Group is excited to announce that several of our practices will soon feature new names that more clearly reflect their connection to Starr Regional Medical Center and the comprehensive services we provide.

Beginning January 1, 2026, all hospital‑employed practices will align under the Starr Regional Medical Group identity. As part of this transition, practices whose current names don’t show this affiliation—such as Athens Family Practice and Medical Associates of Athens—will adopt updated names that better represent their relationship with our organization.

In addition, Starr Cardiology Associates will become Starr Heart & Vascular Clinic, a name that highlights the full spectrum of cardiology and vascular care offered by our team.

These updates reflect our commitment to providing coordinated, patient‑centered care across our entire network. We look forward to continuing to serve you—now with names that make it even easier to recognize the care you trust.

After more than 27 years of dedicated service to our community, we are honored to celebrate the retirement of Debbie Pease, FNP, from Athens Family Practice.

For nearly three decades, Debbie has been a trusted provider, a compassionate caregiver, and a steady source of support for countless patients and families throughout Athens and the surrounding areas. Her commitment to exceptional care, her willingness to go above and beyond, and her warm, reassuring presence have made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with or being cared for by her.

Debbie leaves a legacy defined by clinical excellence, kindness, and a deep love for the people she served. While we will miss her greatly in our practice, we are excited to cheer her on as she begins this well earned new chapter.
