Good morning Sugary Sweet Saints! My Boobie #2 Marched last nite. Calhoun Community College had graduation for its GED graduates. We call him Tre because he is Irvin III. He took and passed the test at 16. He is autistic and just did not enjoy the classroom. He then got a job at Dominos. He actually made friends. We were so happy. Prayers answered. Taking the Angst Out of Scoring the GED® RLA Extended Response

Have you ever wondered why some of your students are still struggling with the GED® RLA Extended Response? You’ve worked steadily with students on prompts, grammar, organization, and a myriad of other issues. Then the report comes in and zero points on the extended response. What can you do?

This session will focus on how to use an essential tool for any GED® writing teacher – the Extended Response Scoring Tool. You may have looked at it, but in the rush of things that you have to accomplish, it just seemed a little overwhelming. Scoring the GED® extended response is different than scoring a regular writing response – there are specific items on which you need to focus. We are going to show you how to make this most of this little used resource.

After you register for the session, take time and pull a sample extended response from one of your students. Bring it with you to this session and use it as we take you step-by-step through the scoring process.

As always there will be time to address questions and concerns from all webinar attendees. Join and be prepared to share some of your successes in 2021 and your hopes for 2022.

This page seeks those who did not finish high school. ROCM provides classes, seminars, interviewing classes, online resources, etc., to not only get your G.E.D. but also a JOB.

FYI....... WHEN: 4-6 P.M. SATURDAYS WORK AT YOUR OWN PACE WHERE: ISBELL ENRICHMENT CENTER, 17611 SEVEN MILE POST RD, ATHENS AL 35611 (GREEN BUILDING WITH WHITE TRIM AND RED ROOF) COST: $100 (Pay once and attend classes until you pass all tests. No additional fees required). I recommend you take the test first, then study only for the tests you did not pass. If you would likemy help, please print the attached registration form and complete.
