The water will be cold and more like the temperature at the beginning of the season.

If you want to learn more about what we are doing about the glass that was found in the leisure pool and the decisions we are making, please read on:

On Saturday August 23rd, we closed the pool due to glass in the pool. At that time, we believed we would need to clean the entire system including the filtration tank before we could open again. This is why we made the call to close for the rest of the season - our filtration and sanitization system includes a giant filter tank that uses a specific powder (perlite media) to catch particles that pass through the filter baskets. At that time, we believed we would need to clean out the filter tank, drain and clean the surge pit that holds treated water before it's pumped back in to the pool, and drain and clean the leisure pool. We were not in a place to replace the this specific media in time to open for this coming weekend, so we practiced transparency to keep our community informed and made a decision and communicated that.

However, after consulting with our pool service professionals and our qualified staff, we determined that IF any small particles of glass passed through the filter basket, they were caught by the media and then dumped to the bottom of the filter tank. There is no risk of the glass coming out into the body of water.

We are currently draining the pool and washing the pool bottom. This can happen without draining the filter tank. We will likely be able to begin filling again later today and will have the leisure pool and slides ready for our community for our last weekend of the season.

We also removed the post from Saturday that stated the pool would be closed for the rest of the season to reduce confusion.
