Mission
The mission of the Athens Community Arts, Parks, and Recreation department is to provide Athens and area residents comprehensive programs, activities, and facilities that encourage health, fitness, and cultural, recreational, educational, and social opportunities in our community. The purpose of this site is to present matters of public interest to City of Athens residents, businesses, visitors and other interested parties. You may submit your comments, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. Once posted, the City reserves the right to delete submissions that contain vulgar language; personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group. Further, the City also reserves the right to delete the following comments:
1.Contain spam, advertising or include links to other sites
2.Clearly off topic, and/or disruptive
3.Advocate illegal activity
4.Promote particular services, products, or political organizations
5.Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
6.Violate any City of Athens Policies

🌸 Spring Break Camp 2026 is almost here! 🌸

Looking for a fun, active, and engaging way for your kids to spend Spring Break? Join us at the Athens Community Center for a full week of Spring Break Camp fun!

🗓 March 9–13
⏰ 7:30 am–5:30 pm
👧🧒 Grades K–6
(Pre-K accepted if currently attending full-day Pre-K)
💲 $200 for the week
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sibling discount applies

Campers will enjoy:
✔️ Outdoor play
✔️ Arts & crafts
✔️ STEM activities
✔️ Team sports & games
✔️ Special guests

📣 General Registration opens Tuesday, January 20 at the front desk of the Athens Community Center.
Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A waitlist will be created once camp is full.

Our non-competitive leagues are for 3rd/4th grade (plays on Wednesdays and some Saturday mornings) and 5th/6th grade (plays on Mondays and some Saturday mornings)
