【2023 Graduation Celebration】

The long-awaited 2023 graduation party for our graduating students will be held this Saturday (4/29) 🥳. We believe that you are all looking forward to it and cannot wait for it to start!

In order to start on time and ensure the smooth running of the event, we kindly ask all students to arrive early at 6:20 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you to all who joined us for our international coffee hour to celebrate the vibrant culture of Taiwan! From delicious food to exciting games, it was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this fascinating country. A big thank you to everyone who shared their stories and insights, making the event truly special. Hope you all had a wonderful summertime!

I cannot believe how fast the summer flew by, but I couldn’t think of anything better to start my semester than joining us for the 50th kick-off event on Reed Quad. Taiwanese student association (TSA) would like to welcome you with our famous pineapple cakes and traditional winter melon punch.

[History time]

Winter melon punch is an immensely popular drink in Taiwan and its history dates back to 250 B.C. It is known for its subtle flavors and freshness, a perfect summer drink to cool you off. To prepare winter melon punch, the melon has to be first sliced and cooked. The cooked melon will then be mixed with sugar and cooked into a golden brown paste. Allow it to harden at room temperature and use this pre-made mixture to make winter melon tea anytime you want!

Wanna try out this classic summer drink? Cannot wait to taste the famous pineapple cakes and learn more about Taiwanese food culture and history?

To end the semester strong 💪, TSA plans to hold a graduation Karaoke party 🎤 on Friday, April 29th, 7-10 pm.

[Vote] It's almost the end of the semester. The current TSA executive board is ready to pass the torch to new members. It is our hope that the group will keep growing and improving during the next academic year. Here are the nominees:

When speaking about Taiwan, what comes to your mind at first? An Asian country, but not knowing where it is located. The pronunciation sounds like Thailand but definitely not the same country. Anything else?

Do you know the M1 chip in iPhones is manufactured in Taiwan? Do you know Asus and Acer are two Taiwanese companies? Do you know the products from Ding Tea and Bubble Café at Downtown are from Taiwan? Indeed, Taiwan seems small, but it influences your daily life in many ways.
