Kiwanis in the community! It may not feel like it, but winter coat weather is coming soon! Our friends at Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) would love your coat donations to benefit those in need in our community! Thanks to the generosity of the residents of Wesley Woods Athens, we were also able to make another food donation to the program! ACTS is open for donations or volunteering Tuesdays and Fridays 9-1pm.

Our annual trip to volunteer at the Athens Area Diaper Bank was a great experience, as always. We all feel good about to giving back to our community. Lunch at Brett’s Casual American filled us all up! Great morning!

You can’t help but to feel good after spending time at Foxglove Plantbar. We created our own terrariums and enjoyed the great atmosphere. 🌿

WWA enjoyed spending the day at the Athens Community Council on Aging helping to sponsor the Scam Jam and learning how to defend ourselves against scams. Great event! 🙌

We raised $1,360 toward our new vans this week! That means we still need to raise $25,640 and we’re so grateful to everyone who has given so far. 💙

Hope Haven’s Community Access Program depends on reliable transportation to provide individuals with developmental disabilities the experiences they deserve. Unfortunately, our current vans are spending more time in the repair shop than on the road. That’s why we need your help!

If we can raise a total of $27,000, a generous donor will match every dollar, doubling your impact and making it possible to purchase a brand-new van. This van will bring joy, experiences, and opportunities for years to come.

The mission of the Dawg Day of Service is to engage UGA students in service in Athens-Clarke County and encourage them to develop service-mindedness as citizens and community members. Wesley Woods of Athens is proud to partner with this program. We had a fun and hard working crew for our car wash. We appreciate all of the UGA students who dedicated their Saturday morning to serving their community. Go Dawgs!
