Hey friends! Just wanted to share a quick tip for anyone struggling with back pain - try planking! Planking is a simple yet effective exercise that has been shown to improve back pain by strengthening the muscles in the core, which are essential for supporting and protecting the spine. When the core muscles are strong, they help to stabilize the spine and reduce the risk of injury. Planking can also help to improve posture by strengthening the muscles in the back and shoulders, which can help to reduce the strain on the spine. Give it a try and see if it can help alleviate your back pain!

Here is a simple 3-step plan to start planking:

1) Find a flat, stable surface to perform the exercise on, such as a mat or a carpeted floor.
2) Begin in a push-up position, with your hands shoulder-width apart and your feet hip-width apart. Engage your core muscles and maintain a straight line from your head to your heels.
3) Hold the plank position for as long as you can, gradually increasing the duration over time as you become more comfortable and stronger. Aim for at least 30 seconds to start, and work your way up to longer durations as you progress...
Remember to listen to your body and only hold the plank for as long as you feel comfortable. It is important to maintain good form and not sacrifice proper alignment for duration. As you progress, you can also try different variations of the plank, such as side planks or plank with leg raises, to target different muscle groups and challenge yourself further.

Neck/upper back feel like it’s going to snap? ⚡️
We have the Mobility work for you!.
💥 UPPER BACK TWISTS 💥
Standing shoulder width apart, put a PVC pipe or pole about 5 feet long across your upper back and rest arms as shown. And forward of the waist knee slightly bent keeping your hips and knees square turn to the left and hold for five seconds. Return to center hold for one second, rotate to the right hold for another five seconds repeat this 10x Per side.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO ACTIVATE THE VAGUS NERVE?
The Vagus nerve helps to regulate many critical aspects of human physiology, including ⁠

✨heart rate⁠
✨blood pressure⁠
✨respiratory rate⁠
✨sweating⁠
✨digestion⁠
✨speaking.⁠

The Vagus nerve is the longest nerve of the autonomic nervous system and it connects your brain to many important organs throughout the body, including the gut, heart and lungs.⁠

In fact, the word "vagus" means “wanderer” in Latin, which accurately represents how the nerve wanders all over the body and reaches various organs. 😆⁠

👉🏼By stimulating the Vagus nerve, you can send a message to your body that it's ok to relax and it can lead to long-term improvements in mood, wellbeing and resilience. ⁠

🚨Before reviewing these exercises, PLEASE READ:🚨

💯 It is important to know that SCIATICA happens for many reasons. Disc Issues, Sprains and Strains, Tight Hamstrings and The Piriformis. Consult your Chiropractor to determine the source of pain.

🎥 Now that we have covered all of that, let’s get to some exercises. Our goal here is to improve stretch the Piriformis Muscle and potentially ease irritation to the Sciatic nerve (which usually sits right next to the Piriformis.
-
1️⃣ Lay on your back
2️⃣ Grab the back of your hamstring with both hands with your opposite leg on a figure four (look at the picture)
3️⃣ Pull your leg towards your chest gently
4️⃣ Hold for 15 seconds.
5️⃣ Repeat with the opposite leg
6️⃣ Perform 3x each leg every day
