Our team wants you to enjoy the holiday and avoid unnecessary aches, strains, or injuries. Here are a few tips to keep your body feeling great this Independence Day:
🔹 Warm Up Before Backyard Games
Before diving into co****le, volleyball, or pickleball, take 5–10 minutes to stretch and warm up your muscles. Dynamic warm-ups like arm circles, leg swings, and walking lunges can go a long way in preventing injury.
🔹 Lift Smart, Not Hard
Setting up chairs, grills, or coolers? Use your legs to lift, not your back. Keep the object close to your body, and avoid twisting while carrying heavier items.
🔹 Hydrate Often
Hot weather and outdoor activities can cause you to dehydrate quickly. Drink water consistently throughout the day, especially if you're active. Dehydration can lead to muscle cramps and fatigue.
🔹 Watch Your Step
Uneven yards, soft grass, or poolside areas can be a hazard. Wear supportive shoes and watch for tripping hazards to avoid sprains or falls.
🔹 Pace Yourself
Long days in the sun can take a toll on you. Don't push through pain or fatigue—take breaks, find shade, and listen to your body.
