3rd year spotlight⭐️
Our final third-year spotlight is Makayla! She will be heading to Hillcrest Hearing and Balance Center in Dayton, OH, for her fourth-year externship. We want to wish her the best of luck and congratulate her on all the hard work she has accomplished so far. Go Makayla!
A quick reminder that our annual White Coat Ceremony will be tomorrow (4/3) at the Nelson Commons Banquet Hall 1-4 pm!

3rd Year Spotlight⭐️
This week’s spotlight is on Courtney!! Courtney will be heading to Fredericksburg, VA, to complete her 4th year externship. We want to congratulate Courtney on all her accomplishments so far and wish her the best of luck as she takes the next step toward becoming an audiologist. We all know you will do great!

Our annual White Coat Ceremony will be held on Friday, April 3rd, at the Nelson Commons Banquet Hall!
1-2 pm will be the 3rd-year’s research project presentations, with the white coat ceremony following (2-4 pm). We will have food raffle baskets (cash ONLY) as you enter the venue, and food and refreshments will be provided following the presentations.
A virtual option will be available on the Student Academy of Audiology page. The QR code provided on the second flyer will direct you to the event page. If anyone would prefer the link, you can message us directly, and we will provide it.
A QR code for parking is also available on the last flyer.
We hope to see you all there as we celebrate our 3rd years and all their hard work!

This week’s third-year spotlight is Abby! She will be completing her fourth-year externship at Munson Hearing Clinic in Traverse City, MI.
We want to congratulate Abby on all of her accomplishments so far—we know she will do great in her future career as an audiologist! 🎉

SAA meeting!
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!! We hope to see everyone at tonight’s meeting at 7:15 pm in Grover W126. Dr. Gina Hounam will be talking to us about current state legislative issues affecting audiology, pediatric opportunities at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the importance of membership in the Ohio Academy of Audiology!
Make sure to wear green!☘️🌈

A few of our students traveled to Columbus this weekend to attend the Ohio Audiology Conference!
One of our fourth-year students, Sophie, presented her research poster titled “Quality Estimation of Human Frequency-Following Responses.”

Congratulations to our PhD student, Sydney, on presenting her dissertation on “Neonatal Diagnostic Automation Utilizing Simulated Clinical Assessments from Large Language Models” this morning!🥳 She did an AMAZING job, and we’re all so proud of her!
