Mary White Zittrouer, 97, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Athens, GA.

Graveside services will be at Oconee Hill Cemetery at 12:00 noon, on Friday, February 6, 2026, with the Rev. Dr. Nancy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives following the service at The Sexton’s House in Oconee Hill Cemetery.

Dr. Roy Edward Grant was born on March 3, 1939, in Rossville, Georgia and passed away on January 24, 2026 in Athens, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, at 2:00 p.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home, located at 3195 Atlanta Highway, Athens, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Kevin Vaughn Blount, age 61, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026.

His wish was to be cremated. Arrangements are by Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends in the spring.

Due to forecasted inclement weather on Saturday, the memorial service for Sarah Jane “Sally” Birchmore Wildman has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, where Reverend Katie Bradshaw and Reverend Mandy Brady will officiate. A reception will follow immediately at the church. A private burial will take place at Oconee Hill Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of Athens with Reverend Elizabeth Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in Oconee Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment in the Sexton’s House at the cemetery.
