What an amazing Saturday morning at Madison County High School! Our Health Meets Hope Mental Health & IDD Awareness Event brought together our community for a morning filled with live music, family activities, great food, and our 5K walk/run.

"Diaper Need is Scary" - Halloween Diaper Drive

Our spooky collection box is ready at Advantage Behavioral Health Systems! We're supporting the Athens Area Diaper Bank in their mission to eradicate diaper need by providing diapers to low-income families in our community.

About Athens Area Diaper Bank:
This vital organization works to ensure that all families have access to clean diapers - a basic necessity that many take for granted. Diaper need affects 1 in 3 families and can impact a child's health, development, and a family's ability to work or attend school.

The Athens Area Diaper Bank not only distributes diapers but also raises public awareness about this often-overlooked issue affecting families in our community.

How You Can Help:
Drop off unopened packages of diapers (all sizes needed) at our Halloween-themed collection box. Every diaper donated makes a difference for local families.

Game Day Fun with Jackson Creative Center!

Our Jackson Creative Center IDD group had an incredible Saturday cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs as they took on Austin Peay in Athens!

Brantley Prickett, Anna Williams, Nathan Nix, and staff member Blayne Hiner enjoyed every minute of the game, showing their Bulldog spirit and having a blast together.

Community outings like this provide meaningful opportunities for our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) clients to engage in fun activities, build friendships, and experience all that our local community has to offer.

Go Dawgs! What a memorable day for everyone involved.

🏈 Connecting with Future Leaders at BeWellUGA Week🏈

Audey Lee, System of Care Coordinator, and Lori Jacks, Remix Clubhouse Program Manager, represented Advantage Behavioral Health Systems at the BeWellUGA Week Community Well-Being Resource Fair.

This event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with University of Georgia students and share information about our mental health and developmental disability services available in the Athens-Clarke County community.

It's important for college students to know that behavioral health support is accessible both on and off campus. Our team was able to highlight resources like crisis services, outpatient therapy, and specialized programs that serve individuals of all ages.

Thank you to UGA for hosting this well-being focused event and for prioritizing student mental health. Building these campus-community connections helps ensure students have comprehensive support systems during their college years and beyond.
