Located just across from the Vietnam Wall, the Vietnam Women’s Memorial is a beautiful place to reflect. On every flight past and future, we stop here, by the trees, to remember. There is, a powerful sculpture at the center, that reminds visitors of the contribution of women during the Vietnam War. Interested in being a part of honoring our service women? Today, we honor the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers — the brave Black servicemembers who paved the way for generations to follow.

Formed in 1866, these trailblazing soldiers served with unwavering courage and dignity, despite facing prejudice and adversity. Their strength, resilience, and contributions to our nation’s military history deserve to be remembered and celebrated.

We salute their sacrifice, service, and enduring impact.
