In October we wear pink for breast cancer awareness! We would like to take this opportunity to show our support to all our family members, friends, patients, and colleagues, who have battled or are currently battling this awful cancer. We also share in the sadness of those who have lost loved ones to it. We would like to share these statistics in hopes it remind you that early detection is key! If you are due for your mammogram let us help you get that scheduled!

🩷1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

🩷 About 310,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in U.S. women this year.

🩷 2,800 men in the U.S. are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer annually
- while it is rare, it does happens.

🩷 When detected early and still localized, the 5-year survival rate is 99%.

🩷 Mammograms can often detect cancer up to two years before a lump can be felt.

Though we were few in number, AMG went blue today in honor of Men’s Health Month. The month of June is dedicated to raising awareness for and highlighting the importance of men’s health and wellness. Our office would like to take this opportunity to encourage all our male patients to seek early detection and treatment for various health conditions, including heart disease, hearing loss, cancer, and mental health concerns. Our newest Physician Assistant Blake Powers, or any of our other wonderful providers would be glad to help you! 🩵💙

The staff and providers of AMG would like to take this time to remember and honor all the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. Happy sweet 16th birthday to Miss Kayla Couch! Today AMG wears pink to celebrate Kayla turning 16! Kayla, who is a junior at Sequoia High School, is currently battling brain cancer. Kayla’s strength and resilience at such a young age is so inspiring!
