Thank you all so much for coming today and supporting us.

I want to thank my team members who worked hard to make today successful. I also want to thank everybody from my Georgia Renal team putting up with me for the past few weeks.

I have been practicing Nephrology in Athens for the past two decades. My average patient has at least 5 chronic medical conditions and takes 10 to 20 medications daily. I feel like we are normalizing chronic medical conditions as part of our aging process. I realized that it should not be that way.

Allopathic medicine is good in making diagnosis and treating the condition. In the current system, in the present form, there is not enough emphasis placed on addressing the root cause. I always thought there is more than what I have been doing for my patients. There are always patient symptoms that could not addressed by primary care or any other sub-specialty. This made me start thinking about functional medicine.

There is complex interaction between our genetics, what we eat, exposure to environmental toxins, Microbiome, losing hormones and stress. This is resulting in chronic medical conditions. I can only do so much in the traditional medicine setting controlled by CMS and insurance industry. 15 minute appointments simply are not enough.

We started our health and wellness journey with Medspa. But I do believe Medspa alone is not enough to make us look our best. What is inside is going to show up outside. This is the reason why we are taking it to next level with functional medicine. We are starting with bioidentical hormone therapy next week. We will gradually add gut health, brain health, Metabolic health, IV therapy, peptides.
