The University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic

The University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic For over 70 years, the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic has provided quality care for Georgians.

The UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic, housed within the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education, is a clinical training site for graduate students earning a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Here, students get hands-on training from experienced faculty and professionals, while providing comprehensive prevention, evaluation, and treatment of hearing, swallowing, and communication disorders and differences. Graduate students work under the supervision of state-licensed and nationally certified audiologists and speech-language pathologists. At the same time, the clinic provides a valuable service to the community, providing testing and screening for all ages for more than 60 years. Our services are on the forefront of current practices, based on current research.

Congratulations to our four UGA students who won scholarships this weekend at the GSHA Conference: Faith, Olivia, Hannah, & Avery, we are so proud of you! Congratulations also to Dr. Nina Santus, who was awarded the Professional Achievement Award for the state yesterday! Also, congratulations to GSHFoundation grant winners Alison Morrison, Javad Anjum, & Nicole Hines! We are proud also of the many UGA faculty and students who presented posters and sessions at the annual GSHA convention this weekend! A wonderful weekend of professional learning!

Team Santus 💜🌷

So proud of this incredible group from the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic, Dr. Santus’ team Caroline Cropp, Kylie Budge, and Riley Panessa, who had the opportunity to present to the Parkinson’s Sisters Group here in Athens Georgia. Emma Wander was back on campus continuing to provide excellent care to our Team Santus patients.

The Parkinson’s Sisters are an inspiring group of women navigating the journey of Parkinson’s disease with strength, resilience, and community. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with information, connection, and lots of laughter.
We are so grateful to have spent this time together, see you next time ladies! 💜
