The University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic

The University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic For over 70 years, the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic has provided quality care for Georgians.

The UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic, housed within the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education, is a clinical training site for graduate students earning a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Here, students get hands-on training from experienced faculty and professionals, while providing comprehensive prevention, evaluation, and treatment of hearing, swallowing, and comm

At the same time, the clinic provides a valuable service to the community, providing testing and screening for all ages for more than 60 years. Our services are on the forefront of current practices, based on current research.

Team Santus was thrilled to visit Cresswind at Lake Lanier for a special Parkinson’s Social Group event! 🧠💪💬

We presented “Strong Voices, Strong Bodies: Practical Exercises for Living Well with Parkinson’s” — an interactive session packed with helpful tools to support strength, communication, and confidence.

Participants explored:
✅ Easy swallowing & breathing exercises for safe eating and vocal strength
✅ Cognitive, language & articulation activities to keep the mind sharp
✅ Real-life strategies for everyday wellness

Our amazing graduate students also provided free speech, voice, swallowing, and cognitive screenings afterward.

Thank you so much for welcoming Team Santus representing the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic — we loved spending time with such a vibrant and engaged group.
And yes… we may have even been asked to call the Dawgs while we were there ❤️🖤🐾

Can’t wait to see you next time!

Our graduate students just wrapped up their intensive AAC course! Over the course of six packed days, they’ve gained invaluable experience by learning from AAC users and their families, exploring devices with AAC representatives, creating therapy plans and AAC device tour videos, and even using AAC themselves to order food and coffee. We are so proud of their growth, creativity, and commitment to communication for all!

Special thanks to , , , Kyleigh and Christine Kramlich, and Oscar and Mary Kvitko for sharing your time and insights. Our students will be better therapists thanks to each of you!
