Ohio University's chapter for the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.

Ohio University's chapter of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association. This organization is based out of the Communication Sciences and Disorders major. Those interested in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology will most benefit from this organization. Individuals involved in the organization will receive a fair amount of information about CSD related events happening at the

University, as well as in the real world. Individuals involved will gain community service opportunities, such as helping with ATCO at bowling and movie nights. Individuals involved will also gain a more student oriented knowledge based around information such as the GRE, the graduate school application process, having a more one-on-one relationship with the professors, CSD courses, and much more. Ohio Unversity’s NSSLHA and Mount St. Joseph’s NSSLHA present the 2024 NSSLHA Conference. This event will be held virtually tonight at 6pm. The topic is early intervention, and there will be three guest speakers presenting. Members will receive 10 points for attending. We hope to have you all join!

September is Deaf Awareness month! In order to honor this month NSSLHA is partnering with ASL club and having a social where we will be watching the movie CODA and making friendship bracelets. This will be a great opportunity to meet other students in your major! It will take place Wednesday, September 27th from 6:30-9:00 in Grover 123. We hope to see you there!

Our first NSSLHA meeting of the semester will be tomorrow Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30 p.m. We will be meeting in Grover W305. We will be popping back into NSSLHA with popcorn for all members!
