The Unites States is the only country in the world with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), yet most Americans haven't heard of them. A group called Patient Protector is on a mission to change that with their docuseries, Modern Medical Mofia: A Deep Dive Into the Crime Ring Running America's Healthcare System.

This docuseries starts tonight on Amazon. It is going to be cold outside, and this is a perfect night to watch the first part. If you have experienced being forced to get medicine through mailorder, or use a specific pharmacy in order to get better copays, those things are dictated by PBMs. If you have been told that the pharmacy is not able to fill you prescription because they aren't being paid the cost of the medicine, that is also because of PBMs. This series will provide more insight into what these PBMs do and how they came to be.

Just a friendly reminder that we are quickly approaching the end of 2024. If you have met your deductible it would be a good idea to fill whatever medicine you can. If you have not met a deductible then you should wait until after January 1.

Currently the connection to process prescriptions and credit cards is down. We are unable to process prescriptions through insurance or take card payments. We will let you know when the problem is resolved.

The hard drive on our credit card machine crashed. We cannot get a new one until Friday. That means we are only able to do cash or check transactions at this time. Thank you for understanding!

If you are making your grocery list for Thanksgiving dinner, check your medicine supply also. The pharmacy will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. We will be open Friday and Saturday, but many doctor’s offices will be closed, so refills will be difficult/impossible to get. Just be sure you will have enough medicine to get through the holiday weekend.
