Time for a HUGE congratulations to Lorna!! 🎉

On Friday, she takes an incredible next step and moves on to Supportive Housing—and today we get to celebrate her. 💛

Lorna has shown true dedication to her recovery every single day. With a heart of gold, a killer sense of humor, and a spirit that lights up a room, she has made this community a better place over the last 6 months.

We are beyond proud of everything she has accomplished and all that’s still ahead. And one thing is for sure—we will ALWAYS be her biggest cheerleaders 📣

Also… you can’t get rid of us that easily 😉 We already can’t wait to see you at alumni!!

✨ Staff Highlight: Sonya, RN 👩‍⚕️

Sonya is one of our incredible nurses at Sunrise Ridge. With a warm presence and compassionate approach, she has a way of making everyone she meets feel right at home. Her positivity, fun personality, and strong work ethic help create the supportive environment that makes our community so special.

Here’s a little Q&A with Sonya!

How long have you been working in this field, and what brought you to this program?

“I have been working as a substance use and mental health nurse for about 10 years now. I started working at a detox facility for six consecutive years. After that, I worked at a CSS level of care for about two years before finding Sunrise Ridge. I valued switching my career to Sunrise Ridge because I’ve always enjoyed watching the transition from admission to completion of the program in my patients’ recovery.”

What is something you love about working with this team?

“My coworkers have made this facility feel like a home for the patients and a family for everyone who works here. I truly enjoy coming into work every day to be with coworkers I enjoy being around.”

What is one thing that helps people stay healthy in recovery?

“Being open to what a new lifestyle can bring. Everyone’s path and journey will be different, and change can be hard. But being open to those changes helps create a smoother transition.”

We’ve had a busy few weeks and are a bit behind on our celebration posts, but we want to highlight Toni!

Toni graduated successfully and left her mark on the Sunrise Ridge community as a calm, strong, and steady presence. As a Peer Leader, she advocated for others and helped ensure the community’s voice was heard.

We are so proud of her and wish her continued success in all that’s ahead. 💛

More celebrations over here!!! 🎉
We recently celebrated and said goodbye to Sarah. From day one, Sarah has been motivated for change and has a way of making everyone around her feel welcome and safe. Her positivity, faith, and kindness shine brightly wherever she goes.

We will truly miss her around these parts, but we’re so happy she’s staying in the Gaamhaverse and moving on to Supportive Housing—where we have no doubt she will continue to shine.

Congratulations, Sarah!! We are so proud of you 🤍✨

Every Monday, a group of our women head to the YMCA for Women in Recovery Yoga, led by the fearless and amazing Kelsey Cass. We are so grateful to have this offering in our community and to be able to provide such a grounding, empowering space for our ladies!

We hope everyone stayed safe during the snowstorm! ❄️
Here at Sunrise, nothing slows us down. Full steam ahead with graduations. We’ve seen such an incredible influx of successful graduates lately, and we are truly bursting with pride.

We recently had the honor of celebrating the wonderful Becky! 🤍

Becky has been an absolute joy to work with. She showed up every single day with determination, discipline, and a willingness to do the work — walking through all kinds of weather just to get where she needed to be. Her effort never went unnoticed.

She is a powerful example of what commitment and perseverance can produce. Saying goodbye is always bittersweet, but it’s never truly goodbye. We wish you nothing but the best, Becky and please come visit! 🌟💛🌅

We are pumping out graduations left and right this week, and the joy is contagious here at Sunrise Ridge. Watching our residents complete this chapter and celebrating them before they move on to the next step of their journey is one of our greatest honors.

Today we celebrate Jadra — a truly remarkable woman who has shown deep dedication to her recovery and reunification with her son. As she transitions to Family Supportive Housing, we could not be more proud. Seeing her confidence return, her glow come back, and the poised, responsible woman she has become is exactly why we do this work. Keep shining Jadra!!! We are forever in your corner!! 🩷💛🧡
