Today our residents spent Memorial Day reminiscing, sharing heartfelt stories of loved ones who proudly served our country, and enjoying fun games together. 🇺🇸❤️ It was a day filled with laughter, memories, gratitude, and honoring the sacrifices made for our freedom. We are thankful for those who served and for the special moments shared with our residents today.

A huge thank you to the Courier for recognizing our National Nursing Home Week celebration and highlighting what this special week means to our residents and staff! From the decorations to the themed days and activities, our team worked incredibly hard to create a fun, meaningful, and memorable week for everyone. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and joy throughout the week reminded us exactly why we do what we do. We are so proud of Sandra, Melissa, and Lisa for going above and beyond to make our residents and staff feel celebrated, loved, and at home. 💙

Day 5 of National Nursing Home Week was full of creativity and fun with our Box Car Show!!! 🚗

Our staff got creative and built amazing cardboard box cars, and both residents and staff enjoyed picking their favorites! We spent the day visiting, laughing, and making memories together. ❤️

Residents also enjoyed delicious grilled hot dogs and refreshing snow cones provided by Life Touch Hospice Alice Herring! It was another wonderful day celebrating our residents and staff! 🌭🍧

Day 4 of National Nursing Home Week was a GRAND time at Atkins Nursing & Rehab! 🎶🤠

Our Grand Ole Opry Day was filled with music, laughter, and fun with special visits from Minnie Pearl and Dolly Parton! Residents also enjoyed wonderful performances inspired by Lainey Wilson and Loretta Lynn. 🎤✨

To top it all off, everyone enjoyed delicious cotton candy and funnel cakes while making memories together. It was truly a great day full of smiles and country charm! ❤️🎡

Day 3 of Nursing Home Week at Atkins Nursing & Rehab! 🚜🌻

Today’s Farm Day was one to remember! Our residents enjoyed seeing live animals, watching a real tractor at work, other fun activities and spending time out on the porch enjoying the beautiful weather. 🍉🐐☀️

Nothing beats good company, fresh watermelon and cantaloupe, and making sweet memories together. We love bringing joy and special experiences to our residents each and every day! ❤️
