What an incredible keynote session at the LEAP Summit! Dr. Heather Hodges captivated the audience with her live painting, bringing her message to life!

We must ask ourselves, are we preparing our leaders for success?

At the LEAP Summit, Dr. Heather Hodges at Hodges Group International, tackled the leadership development crisis in hospice and palliative care. In her keynote, "From Accidental to Intentional," she shared how a lack of training for our "accidental leaders" can impact retention and quality of care.

The solution? Stop promoting without preparation. We need to empower our managers with the tools to build a leadership pipeline that helps our organizations thrive. It was an inspiring session for leaders at every stage of their journey! Check out her amazing work below:

We’re proud to spotlight the More Access to Palliative Care Georgia (MAPGA) web tool—an innovative, user-friendly resource developed by Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute.

MAPGA makes it simple for patients, families, and referring providers to locate nearby palliative care services across the state—including hospital clinics, in-home programs, and pediatric options.

Plus, it features an interactive map and heat-map that reveals gaps in access—helping to highlight palliative care deserts where support is most needed. This tool is a game-changer for Georgia families facing serious illness.
