The Looking Glass

The Looking Glass We aim to build community and enhance people’s understanding of self by creating a space that encourages truth, reflection, and self-love.

I’m excited to share a personal and professional milestone ✨

At the end of last year, I officially transitioned into full-time private practice and now operate Looking Glass JM, LLC, alongside the nonprofit arm, The Looking Glass Foundation, Inc.

This step has been years in the making. I’m deeply grateful for how my time working in community mental health and higher education shaped me — those spaces grounded me in accessibility, advocacy, systems-level thinking, and the importance of meeting people where they are. That foundation prepared me for this leap more than I could have imagined.

Today, my work allows me to serve individuals more intentionally while continuing to build community-centered wellness initiatives through the foundation.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, referred, mentored, collaborated, or trusted me along the way. I’m excited for what this next chapter holds. 🤍

Before the camera, there was reflection.
Naming what has shaped us,
and what we’re calling in.

Each portrait holds something different.
Each story stands on its own.
And together, these truths gather,
not to blend, but to belong.

Looking back and what a year. I felt so proud creating this because it’s easy to miss the gravity of certain milestones when they’re happening in real time. Reflection truly is a gift.

This year, I confronted self-doubt head-on. Something I thought I had conquered, yet it continued to resurface in different forms. I realized that self-doubt was keeping me stuck in a loop of exhaustion instead of liberation. So I got honest with myself and with God, and the same message kept returning to me: “this is not the time to misread your moment”. And I’m so glad I didn’t.

I took a leap, and I’m in awe of the impact I was able to make through TLG this year while still managing a full-time job. I can’t wait to see the road ahead and what unfolds with more space, ownership, and obedience.

There are a lot of unknowns going into 2026, but what I know for certain is that God has me covered. And the feeling of betting on yourself will forever be unmatched.

Gentle reminders as we enter the new year! Take what you need 🫶🏾

Reflection doesn’t end when the camera turns off.

This was Portraits with Purpose through The Looking Glass.

The portraits, and the words behind them, arrive in the new year. Stay tuned 👀

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it 🤍
Thank you to everyone who booked a headshot, showed up with intention, and trusted this space. And thank you to those who sponsored portraits. Your generosity helped make this experience accessible and meaningful.

Together, we raised $700 through Portraits with Purpose. All proceeds will support the Find and Seek Therapy Fund, launching next year to increase access to mental health care.

Moments like these remind us what’s possible when community, care, and purpose meet. We’re deeply thankful to capture the essence of this community while building something that extends far beyond the lens.

Portraits with Purpose ✨

Running it back to this weekend 😌

Portraits with Purpose was about more than headshots; it was about presence, connection, and being witnessed in real time.

The energy in the room was intentional, affirming, and grounding in all the right ways.
And this is just one glimpse… more moments to come.

Portraits with Purpose was filled with intention, presence, and so much care — even in the moments between the camera clicks.

These are just a few behind-the-scenes glimpses of what unfolded 🤍
