Every single woman in this photo began her journey with Doula of the Divine as an intern …unsure, curious, courageous, and called. & every single one of you left an imprint on this brand that will never fade.♾️

From my very first interns to the ones walking with me now… y’all helped shape the heartbeat of Doula of the Divine. You carried this vision with me long before it became what it is today. You poured into mamas, into the work, into each other, and into me.🤗💙

💙We laughed, cried, birthed, learned, grounded, grew, and sometimes even had to start again …but we did it all together, in community and in truth.🤞🏽

Some of you have stayed, some of you have evolved into new seasons, but all of you have changed me. You’ve changed this brand. You’ve changed the lineage of birthwork through your presence alone.

What it really takes to be a DOULA …
This ain’t surface-level work.💙
This is early mornings, late nights, no sleep, no clock-out.
This is climbing into beds, onto floors, onto porches, into showers… into whatever space Mama needs… so she never has to face a single contraction alone‼️✨

This is listening to her breath, her silence, her body.
This is holding her weight when she can’t.
This is grounding her spirit when she’s traveling between realms to bring life earthside.

& let’s be clear: we are not the midwife here to catch the baby.
Our calling is different.
Our responsibility is sacred.💙
We are not just here to mother a mother —
a true doula also births a mother.
And a true doula is there from beginning to end…
we become whatever you need us to be in every moment of your transformation.

This is not a job …this is a calling‼️
A devotion.
A lifestyle.
A priesthood of presence, patience, and protection.

When you’re built for this work, you don’t run from the hard moments.
