I get to walk with mamas across every kind of journey—
first time or seasoned, grieving or thriving, unsure or all-in.

And every single time, it’s an honor.

No matter how you got here…
you’re seen.
You’re sacred.
You’re still hers.

Happy Mother’s Day.
I’m celebrating you.

Here we are—officially at the halfway mark with homeschooling my babies.

It feels like such a milestone, not just for them, but for me too. I’m learning as much as they are, maybe even more.
I’ve learned patience, flexibility, and the beauty of seeing them discover the world in their own way, on their own timeline.

But if I’m honest, this time of year always pulls at me.

The new year brings all the ambition, all the goals, and all the plans. And this year? I’m not just dreaming—I’m building a strategy to make it happen.

Because let’s be real: as moms, as women, we carry BIG visions—not just for ourselves, but for our kids and the legacies we’re creating. And while the dreams are inspiring, the weight of “how” can feel heavy.

So this year, I’m approaching it differently...

I’m putting strategy before hustle, clarity before overwhelm, and ex*****on before perfection.

Whether it’s homeschooling, running The Equipt Mama, or secretly preparing to launch The Ultimate Breastfeeding Prep Workshop (so excited to share about it in 2 weeks!), my focus is on building a foundation that lasts.

Mamas, as we step into this new season, I want to remind you of this: It’s not about having every piece of the puzzle figured out. It’s about being intentional with the next piece you place.

What’s the next piece you’re placing in your journey? I’d love to hear what you’re working towards—drop it in the comments, or just leave a 💡 if this resonates with you.

Just a little mix of me, the things I love, and the vibes I’m on lately. ✨
Because being a mama is one thing, but the woman behind it all? She deserves her shine too. 💅🏾

Btw, Tell the truth sis! Have you taken a photo of yourself this month? Or was this your reminder you needed 😏

Where have I been? Oh, just gone for a minute… a whole 90 days worth of minutes.

Let me just start by saying, I forgot to let y’all know I was leaving. Oops! JK—but seriously, I had to take a step back, and I mean a big step, because I realized something important: I love this space, I love what I do, but I wasn’t loving me the way I needed to. And how can I teach y’all to pour from a full cup if I’m running on empty myself?

So, I took a pause. I soaked up the sun, got excessively present with my babies, and poured into me in ways I hadn’t done in years. I had to make the hard decision to step away from this platform and give myself the time and love I deserved.

This wasn’t just about walking the talk—it was about living it. Because as mamas, we’re not just teaching our kids with our words; we’re teaching them with how we walk this life. God entrusted us with these little lives, and I had to ask myself—what am I showing them?

The answer? I wasn’t showing them the kind of love and care I wanted for them, because I wasn’t giving it to myself.

So, I pressed pause. And it was the best decision ever.

Now I’m back—better, fuller, a few inches smaller (ayyyeee!) and so excited to be here with you again.

As I reflect on 2024 (which I know was hard for so many of us), the biggest revelation I’ve had is this: 🙏🏽we have to be gentle with ourselves🙏🏽.

Not just creating a “soft life”, but walking in gentleness with our own hearts.

I’m calling this my ✨Gentle With Me Era✨.

And if you’re walking in that space too, or if this resonates with you in some way, know that I see you, I feel you, and I’m sending nothing but love your way. 💕

💌And hey, help me fight this whack alg0rithm (because you know they don’t love it when we choose ourselves)
Drop a “💜” in the comments if this reminder hit home, or if you’re also stepping into your gentle era.

Thanks for riding with me sis🫶🏽

We’ve all been there, smiling politely while Auntie offers her “well-meaning” advice about how to feed your baby. 👶🏽

But here's the thing sis....

only YOU know what’s best for your little one. ❤️

Gabrielle, one of our proud Melanated Milkies Club members, faced the similar pressures.

Everyone around her thought they knew better, but she trusted her instincts and stuck to her breastfeeding goals. 💪🏽

And guess what? She not only succeeded but thrived, supported by a community that understood and uplifted her every step of the way.

Remember when dinner time didn’t involve negotiations? 😂 Oh, how times have changed! 🤭

Sis, let’s keep it real. This is not about just about feeding your baby; it’s about giving them a strong start in life. 😀

Did you know that breastfeeding can seriously lower the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)? It’s true.

When you nurse, your baby stays close to you, which helps them regulate their breathing patterns better. 😉

The skin-to-skin contact during breastfeeding also keeps your baby’s body temperature stable, reducing stress that could disrupt their sleep.

Plus, breastfeeding encourages more frequent waking and lighter sleep, which lowers the risk of your baby falling into a deep sleep that might lead to SIDS.

The natural antibodies in your milk protect your baby from infections that could increase the risk as well. ✨

So, let’s make sure our babies get the best start possible.

If this message hit home for you, don’t keep it to yourself!
